Nashville Predators vs Ottawa Senators Predictions October 10, 2026

Game time: October 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET

Venue: Canadian Tire Centre — Ottawa, ON

Article updated Oct 9, 10:35 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Ottawa Senators will beat the Nashville Predators, Senators 3, Predators 2, in our Oct. 10 forecast. Ottawa’s 3-1-0 start and latest win behind Linus Ullmark’s 28 saves give the Senators a slight edge, although Nashville brings a strong comeback performance. Neither the supplied puck line nor total offers a persuasive wager at its price. The official betting recommendation is Pass.

Nashville Predators vs Ottawa Senators prediction and best bet

Ottawa is the pick, with low confidence. Its 2-1 victory over Philadelphia on Oct. 8 offers a modest reason to favor the Senators, but Nashville’s 5-2 win at Montreal that night supplies a substantial counterargument. Both teams received strong goaltending and a decisive power-play goal.

The forecast calls for a narrow Ottawa victory, not a comfortable separation between these teams. The Senators’ winning start tips the balance slightly; Nashville’s ability to recover from a two-goal deficit keeps the upset firmly in play.

The best betting decision is Pass. A predicted winner alone does not make Ottawa -1.5 (+127) attractive, and a one-goal projection is insufficient justification for Nashville +1.5 (-203). The total deserves its own assessment, with the Under’s price demanding more conviction than this matchup warrants.

Odds, game time and how to watch

Matchup: Nashville Predators at Ottawa Senators, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, in the 2026-27 NHL season.

Records and recent results: Ottawa improved to 3-1-0 with its Oct. 8 win over Philadelphia. Nashville beat Montreal 5-2 on Oct. 8.

SportsJaw moneyline: Nashville +147; Ottawa -147.

SportsJaw puck line: Nashville +1.5 (-203); Ottawa -1.5 (+127).

SportsJaw total: Over 6.5 (+104); Under 6.5 (-163).

Nashville Predators outlook

Nashville’s comeback began with Alex Kerfoot and Matthew Wood after Montreal built a 2-0 lead. Ryan O’Reilly supplied the late power-play winner, and Adam Edstrom added two empty-net goals. Those finishing goals matter when interpreting the margin: Nashville earned the victory, but the 5-2 final should not be treated as five goals against a defending goaltender.

Juuse Saros made 32 saves, while Roman Josi recorded two assists and extended his season-opening point streak to at least four games. Josi’s continued scoring contribution is an encouraging element for Nashville beyond the final score of a single comeback.

Forward Mavrik Bourque and defenseman William Trudeau left the Montreal game with upper-body injuries and did not return. Those exits introduce lineup uncertainty without establishing either player’s availability for Ottawa. Saturday also concludes Nashville’s three-game eastern-Canada trip; the itinerary alone is no reason to assume fatigue.

Ottawa Senators outlook

Ottawa’s home-opening victory came through two different scoring contributions. Nick Cousins scored on a first-period tip-in, and Carter Yakemchuk delivered the go-ahead power-play goal at 13:01 of the third period. The Senators found the deciding goal late in a game that finished with little margin for error.

Ullmark stopped 28 shots in the 2-1 win. That performance strengthens the case for Ottawa, but one low final score is too small a sample to label the Senators a consistently dominant defensive team. His previous appearance also should not be mistaken for a confirmed start against Nashville.

William Eklund left after a boards collision with a lower-body injury and did not return. His availability remains an uncertainty in this forecast. It would be premature to build an Ottawa scoring projection around an assumed absence or an assumed return.

Key matchup factors

Special teams create the clearest route for either club to change the game. Nashville scored twice on the power play in Montreal, and Ottawa’s winner against Philadelphia also came with the man advantage. Those results make penalty situations worth watching, without proving either team holds a sustained special-teams edge.

The recent goaltending performances support a close-game forecast, while the power-play contributions introduce scoring risk. Neither consideration should overwhelm the other. A repeat of strong netminding could keep the total down; timely conversions could push it upward.

The injury exits on both sides further limit conviction. With no confirmed starting-goaltender assignments or subsequent availability updates in the team reports, the forecast rests on recent results rather than a settled personnel advantage.

Nashville Predators vs Ottawa Senators spread prediction

Pass on Nashville Predators +1.5 (-203). Nashville covering is consistent with the projected one-goal defeat, but the steep price requires confidence in that outcome across more than one plausible game script. Its comeback win is encouraging without making this an automatic puck-line play.

Pass on Ottawa Senators -1.5 (+127). The plus return is tempting only if Ottawa has a convincing path to a multi-goal victory. Our forecast favors a tighter finish, and Nashville’s recent response under pressure makes the larger winning margin an uncomfortable requirement.

Nashville Predators vs Ottawa Senators total prediction

Pass on Under 6.5 (-163). The five-goal projection points below the line, but the wager carries a substantial price. Two strong goaltending performances in previous games are useful clues, not enough to justify that expense with confidence.

Pass on Over 6.5 (+104), too. Nashville’s seven-goal game included two empty-net finishes, while Ottawa’s latest game produced three goals. Special teams offer a route to a higher total, but the better payout alone does not make the Over valuable.

Nashville Predators vs Ottawa Senators projected score

Game forecast: Ottawa Senators 3, Nashville Predators 2. Ottawa’s 3-1-0 start earns the narrow nod. Nashville’s comeback, Saros’ 32 saves and Josi’s continuing point streak form the strongest case against that pick.

Confidence is low because the evidence points to a competitive matchup without a clear personnel or performance advantage. Ottawa remains the projected winner, while both puck-line options and both total directions are passes at the supplied prices. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
