Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs Baylor Bears prediction, odds and best bet

Game time: November 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET

Venue: Foster Pavilion — Waco, TX

Article updated Nov 5, 10:13 PM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Baylor will beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff, with a projected score of Baylor 88, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 65. The Bears’ balanced scoring in their opening victory and strong non-conference home record give them the stronger winning case. Neither Baylor -35.5 (-110) nor the 157.5 total offers a compelling wager from this early-season picture, so the official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs Baylor Bears prediction and best bet

Baylor is the winner pick, but the best betting decision is Pass. The Bears opened with an 87-65 victory over Northwestern State, and their official preview reports a 53-game active non-conference home winning streak. Those are useful reasons to favor Baylor outright; covering 35.5 points is a separate assignment.

Our forecast calls for a comfortable victory without a spread cover. The projected 153 points also fall below 157.5, but that modest cushion is not enough to make the Under an official wager. A projected result is a judgment about the game, not proof that either price offers value.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions outlook

Solomon Bozeman’s Golden Lions enter with an opening loss, but the more detailed independently reported offensive baseline comes from last season. The Associated Press reports that Arkansas-Pine Bluff finished 13-19 overall and 6-14 on the road while averaging 77.3 points.

That offense generated 22.8 points per game from 3-point range and 16.3 at the foul line. Those figures identify two scoring routes worth watching, although last season’s production is not a forecast for this roster. Perimeter baskets and free throws would help UAPB remain competitive without needing to match Baylor possession for possession.

The road record adds caution to the upset case. Still, projecting the Golden Lions well below their previous scoring average requires a matchup judgment, not simply carrying last season’s numbers forward. Their offensive contribution is the largest uncertainty in our score prediction.

Baylor Bears outlook

Baylor’s official account of the Nov. 2 opener offers a concrete starting point: Brett Decker Jr., Kayden Mingo, Dylan Mingo and Elijah Williams all scored in double figures. The Bears led Northwestern State for 39:28, showing sustained control in that particular game.

Dylan Mingo contributed 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. That combination gives the forecast more substance than the final margin alone, with scoring, distribution and defensive activity all represented. It remains one performance rather than an established season-long level.

Baylor also has personnel changes to integrate. Its transfers include Kayden Mingo from Penn State, Decker from Liberty, Isaac Celiscar from Yale and Evan Chatman from UAB. Center Juslin Bodo Bodo returned this season after missing 2025-26 with an arm injury. His return should not be read as a verified starting assignment or minutes projection.

Key matchup factors

The strongest distinction is between Baylor’s winning case and its covering case. Home success and balanced opening production favor the Bears, but neither tells us how consistently they will extend a large lead. At this spread, stretches of ordinary offensive execution could still leave Baylor short of a cover.

Bandwagon’s separate model also selects Baylor, assigning an 81% win probability and projecting Baylor 79, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 69. That is the model’s view, not SportsJaw’s probability. Its much closer finish challenges our expectation of a comfortable margin and points toward caution on the favorite.

Baylor’s home history also needs context. The Associated Press reports an 11-6 home record and 17-17 overall finish last season. The long winning streak applies specifically to non-conference home games, not every game played in Waco.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs Baylor Bears spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Arkansas-Pine Bluff +35.5 (-110) and Baylor -35.5 (-110). Our projected 23-point margin favors the underdog against the number, and Bandwagon anticipates an even closer game. That makes taking Baylor at this price difficult to justify.

Backing UAPB still requires confidence in its ability to limit separation against Baylor. Its prior road record offers little reassurance, and one Baylor opener is too narrow a sample to estimate blowout margins reliably. The forecast points toward UAPB covering, but the official spread decision remains Pass.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs Baylor Bears total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 157.5 (-114) and Under 157.5 (-106). Our 153-point forecast is below the line, as is Bandwagon’s projected total of 148. Those are two forecasts, not two independent demonstrations of an Under edge.

The Bears’ opener produced 152 combined points, but a different opponent can change the scoring balance considerably. UAPB’s previous scoring profile also leaves room for more offense than our projection allows. Without a firmer current-season read on that contribution, the small projected Under cushion is too fragile for a wager.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs Baylor Bears Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Baylor 88, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 65. Confidence is medium. Baylor’s balanced opening performance and non-conference home success support the winner selection. Bandwagon’s tighter projection is the strongest counterargument to our margin, while UAPB’s scoring uncertainty makes the total less dependable.

Expect Baylor to win comfortably, with neither market making the betting card. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
