Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction, Odds and Best Bet for Nov. 7, 2026

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET

Venue: Scotiabank Arena — Toronto, ON

Article updated Nov 6, 11:43 PM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Montreal Canadiens will beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 in our November 7 forecast, led by their strong road results and Nick Suzuki’s productive return. Toronto’s scoring and extra rest make this a low-confidence selection. Neither the supplied puck line prices nor the 6.5 total offers a persuasive betting edge, so the official SportsJaw wager is Pass.

Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs prediction and best bet

Montreal gets the winner selection because its recent results and road performance give it the stronger case in a close matchup. RG.org reports a 7-1-2 record over the Canadiens’ previous 10 games and a 5-1-1 road mark. Suzuki’s three-point return adds a concrete offensive reason to favor the visitors.

The forecast is Canadiens 4, Maple Leafs 3, with low confidence. Toronto has enough scoring to challenge that selection, and the starting goaltenders remain unconfirmed. The official best bet is Pass. Picking Montreal to win does not make its -1.5 puck line attractive, and projecting seven goals alone is insufficient reason to buy Over 6.5.

Montreal Canadiens outlook

Montreal’s offense supplies the clearest positive evidence. RG.org reports 21 goals over its previous five games, including a 5-4 overtime win against Utah on November 5. Cole Caufield scored the winner 30 seconds into overtime. That production makes another competitive offensive performance a reasonable expectation.

Suzuki returned in that game after missing six games with an upper-body injury. His goal and two assists brought him to 15 points in 10 games. His immediate contribution strengthens the Montreal forecast, although one successful return cannot settle how the offense will perform Saturday.

Probetrics lists Sam Montembeault, Mike Matheson, Ivan Demidov, Bryce Pickford and Lucas Condotta as out. RG.org reports Jacob Fowler at 7-1-1 with a .925 save percentage and 2.17 goals-against average. Those are Fowler’s results, however, while Probetrics names Dobes as the unconfirmed option. Montreal should not receive a projected goaltending advantage based on Fowler’s statistics.

Toronto Maple Leafs outlook

Toronto’s strongest response is its scoring talent and special teams. RG.org reports 3.65 goals per game, a 28.8% power play and an 88.1% penalty kill. Auston Matthews has 11 goals and 26 points, while William Nylander has 10 goals and 21 points. Those contributions make Toronto a credible threat to win a game in which Montreal gets the editorial nod.

Bobrovsky’s reported results are a concern if he starts: a 3-6-2 record, an .889 save percentage and at least three goals allowed in 10 of 11 starts. That history favors Montreal’s scoring outlook, but his unconfirmed status limits how heavily it should influence either the winner or total.

Tavares’ availability carries conflicting reports. Probetrics lists John Tavares out; RG.org describes him as day-to-day with a lower-body injury after eight missed games, pending completion of Friday practice before clearance. His return should not be assumed. Probetrics also lists Kirill Marchenko, Nick Blankenburg, Marshall Rifai and Miles Wood out.

Key matchup factors

Rest favors Toronto: Probetrics reports three days for the Maple Leafs and one for Montreal. Shot volume offers much less separation, with Toronto averaging 28.0 shots on goal and Montreal 27.6. The Canadiens’ forecast advantage therefore rests more on their results and recent production than on a substantial shooting-volume lead.

Toronto’s power play makes Montreal’s ability to avoid penalties an important game condition. Its penalty kill also supplies a counterweight to Montreal’s recent scoring. Neither percentage guarantees a special-teams advantage Saturday, but both keep the visitor selection fragile.

As of November 7 at 04:30 UTC, the blended moneyline consensus favors Montreal at 58%, matching the external consensus percentage. The modeled equivalent sample allocates 348 selections to Montreal and 252 to Toronto out of 600. These are estimates, not observed betting tickets or a count of SportsJaw member picks. The 58% share reflects selection sentiment, not Montreal’s win probability.

Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Montreal Canadiens -1.5 (+212) and Toronto Maple Leafs +1.5 (-253).

Montreal’s recent play makes it the preferred winner, but Toronto’s scoring and rest advantage argue against expecting a comfortable margin. The 4-3 projection would lose the Montreal puck line. Toronto +1.5 would cover that forecast, yet its -253 price demands considerably more certainty than a projected one-goal result supplies. Neither side earns an official wager.

Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 6.5 (-115) and Under 6.5 (-101).

The offensive evidence points toward the Over: Montreal’s recent scoring, Toronto’s goals per game and Bobrovsky’s results if he starts. The seven-goal forecast reflects that direction. Still, it sits only half a goal above the line, and neither starting goalie is confirmed. There is too little margin for an Over wager at -115. Under 6.5 at -101 is also a Pass because the strongest scoring evidence runs against it.

Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs Projected Score & Betting Picks

The final forecast is Montreal Canadiens 4, Toronto Maple Leafs 3. Montreal’s road success and Suzuki’s return give the visitors a slight advantage. Toronto’s offensive production, special teams and extra rest form the strongest counterargument.

Confidence is low because the edge is narrow and the goaltending assignments remain unsettled. This is an editorial game forecast, not a claim of demonstrated betting value. Both the puck line and total remain passes, and the single official SportsJaw wager is Pass.
