Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings prediction, odds and best bet for Nov. 9, 2026

Game time: November 9, 2026 at 8:15 PM ET

Venue: U.S. Bank Stadium — Minneapolis, MN

Article updated Nov 3, 2:27 PM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Buffalo Bills will beat the Minnesota Vikings 24-21 in our forecast, with Josh Allen’s passing and rushing production and Buffalo’s recent defensive pressure supplying the strongest reasons. Minnesota’s pass rush makes a close finish plausible. Neither Buffalo -3.5 (-102) nor the total of 46.5 offers a strong enough price advantage for an official wager, so the betting recommendation is Pass.

Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings prediction and best bet

Buffalo is the pick for this Nov. 9 matchup in the 2026 NFL season. Its Nov. 1 win over Baltimore paired three Allen touchdowns with four defensive sacks and 12 quarterback hits. That performance gives the Bills a credible route to winning through both offensive production and defensive disruption.

The official best bet is Pass. Minnesota also recorded four sacks in its latest game, and both teams enter at 6-1. Our three-point Buffalo projection leaves little separation between choosing the winner and getting the spread wrong. The total requires its own assessment.

Buffalo Bills outlook

The Bills’ official Baltimore recap documents Allen completing 21 of 34 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns, with another 30 yards and a touchdown rushing. Those contributions support a forecast in which Buffalo has more than one way to finish a possession. They do not guarantee another 36-point performance.

DJ Moore returned after missing two weeks with a shoulder injury and caught four passes for 82 yards and a touchdown. Dalton Kincaid added four catches on six targets for 86 yards and a score. Their production strengthens Buffalo’s offensive case without requiring a prediction that either player repeats those numbers.

The defensive pressure against Baltimore matters just as much. If Buffalo can again disrupt the quarterback, Minnesota may have fewer opportunities to answer Allen. That is a matchup inference from one recent performance, rather than a claim about Buffalo’s season-long defensive standing.

Minnesota Vikings outlook

Minnesota’s official Detroit recap shows a defense that generated pressure while struggling against the run. Andrew Van Ginkel supplied a career-high 2.5 of the Vikings’ four sacks, but Detroit gained 219 rushing yards on 33 carries. Jahmyr Gibbs accounted for 147 yards on 22 attempts.

That combination makes Minnesota difficult to dismiss and difficult to back confidently. Its recent pass rush offers a route to interrupting Buffalo’s offense, while the rushing yards conceded raise a concern about sustaining stops. One game is too narrow a sample to assume either result will repeat.

Kyler Murray completed 17 of 29 passes for 210 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Kevin O’Connell said Murray experienced hamstring tightness during the game; that report alone is not a Nov. 9 availability determination. Jordan Addison had three catches for 66 yards, Justin Jefferson five for 33, and T.J. Hockenson four for 58 and a touchdown.

Key matchup factors

The central question is whether Minnesota can turn pressure into stopped possessions against Allen. Buffalo’s forecast advantage rests on its quarterback’s recent passing and rushing contributions, but Minnesota’s sack production supplies a concrete counterargument. Murray’s reported hamstring tightness adds uncertainty without justifying an assumption that he will miss the game or play at reduced effectiveness.

Other analysts favor Buffalo outright, with different degrees of conviction. BetMGM reports 59.0% win confidence. Stats Insider assigns Buffalo a 61% win probability after 10,000 simulations and projects Bills 25, Vikings 22. Squawka projects Bills 27, Vikings 24, while its model gives Buffalo a 55% win probability. These are separate forecasts, not three independent confirmations of a betting edge.

As of Nov. 3 at 19:14 UTC, SportsJaw’s external and blended spread readings both favor Buffalo at 66%. The modeled equivalent sample is 396 Buffalo selections and 204 Minnesota selections, totaling 600 estimated selections, not observed tickets or member-pick counts. Minnesota’s share increased eight percentage points from the Nov. 2 snapshot. That describes sentiment movement, not a change in the supplied spread.

Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass Buffalo Bills -3.5 (-102) and Minnesota Vikings +3.5 (-118). Our 24-21 forecast points toward Minnesota covering, but the margin is too fragile to make that an official wager.

BetMGM separately gives Minnesota 52.5% cover confidence. Squawka also identifies Minnesota as spread value, although its discussion uses a Buffalo line around -3. Those views differ from the Buffalo-leading spread consensus. They help explain the close-game forecast, but neither supplies a verified cover probability for Minnesota +3.5 at the exact -118 price.

Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass Over 46.5 (-103) and Under 46.5 (-117). Our projected 45 points land below the line, but a 1.5-point difference is a modest forecasting margin.

The outside views are mixed. Stats Insider’s score totals 47, while Squawka’s totals 51. Squawka’s editor nevertheless selects Under 43.5, a different line and a different scoring outlook from its published score. SportsJaw’s external and blended total readings favor Over 46.5 at 56%. These disagreements leave neither direction compelling at the supplied prices.

Buffalo Bills vs Minnesota Vikings Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Buffalo Bills 24, Minnesota Vikings 21. Confidence: medium. Allen’s recent production and Buffalo’s defensive disruption support an ordinary edge, with Minnesota’s pass rush the strongest football counterargument.

A Buffalo win, a Minnesota cover and a finish below 46.5 can coexist in the same projection. Each betting market still needs sufficient value at its own price. Neither clears that threshold here. SportsJaw’s single official wager is Pass.
