Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Commanders Prediction, Odds and Best Bet for Nov. 8, 2026

Game time: November 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET

Venue: Northwest Stadium — Landover, MD

Article updated Nov 3, 2:05 PM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Los Angeles Rams will beat the Washington Commanders, Rams 24, Commanders 20, in our Nov. 8 forecast. Los Angeles gets the slight edge because its productive rushing tandem offers a way to manage Washington's recent defensive pressure. Matthew Stafford's unresolved arm injury makes that advantage fragile, however. Neither Rams -5.5 (-110) nor the total of 47.5 (-110) merits an actionable wager.

Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Commanders prediction and best bet

Los Angeles is the pick to win, but the official SportsJaw betting decision is Pass. The Rams' latest victory showed a plausible route through this matchup: get production from both running backs and capitalize on defensive opportunities. That earns them a narrow editorial edge, not an assumption that another comfortable win follows.

Washington supplies a serious counterargument after beating Philadelphia by 17 points. Its disruptive defensive performance matters against a team whose quarterback is managing an arm injury. Our four-point projected margin falls inside Rams -5.5, but the uncertainty is substantial enough to keep Commanders +5.5 off the official betting card too.

Los Angeles Rams outlook

The Rams' official recap of their 24-9 win over the Chargers details useful contributions from both backs. Blake Corum carried 11 times for 73 yards and a touchdown, while Kyren Williams added 56 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts. Their combined 129 rushing yards offer a reason to favor a balanced approach against Washington.

Quentin Lake and Trent McDuffie intercepted passes, with those takeaways setting up 10 points. That was a meaningful contribution to the final margin, although projecting another comparable turnover return would give too much weight to one game.

DK Network lists Stafford as TBD with an arm injury and reports that Sean McVay will defer to the quarterback on how he feels before Sunday. Tight end Colby Parkinson is also TBD with a rib injury after missing Week 8. Cornerbacks Jaylen Watson and McDuffie are TBD with shoulder and back injuries, respectively. Those unresolved statuses temper the appeal of laying more than a field goal.

Washington Commanders outlook

The Eagles' recap offers the clearest account of Washington's recent improvement: the Commanders erased a 10-0 deficit with 27 unanswered points in a 27-10 victory. Jayden Daniels completed 16 of 29 passes for 217 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. DK Network confirms he played after dealing with an elbow issue.

Washington also produced nine tackles for loss, eight quarterback hits and five sacks against Philadelphia. That is the strongest recent evidence for a competitive game here. Rachaad White contributed 55 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, giving the offense another productive component.

The injury report lists Jeremy McNichols as TBD with a mid-foot injury and Javon Kinlaw as TBD with a knee injury. Terry McLaurin, Daron Payne, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Laremy Tunsil are on injured reserve. Washington's comeback deserves weight, but those personnel losses remain part of the forecast.

Key matchup factors

The tactical question is whether Los Angeles can use its running game to reduce the burden on its passing offense. That is a reasonable path, rather than a proven advantage against this particular defense. Washington's pressure against Philadelphia makes predictable passing situations an especially uncomfortable prospect if Stafford is limited.

Ball security could determine whether this stays close. The Rams benefited from interceptions last week, while Daniels avoided throwing one. Neither result guarantees a repeat; a forecast built around another large takeaway contribution would be fragile.

As of Nov. 3 at 18:59 UTC, SportsJaw's blended spread consensus favored Rams -5.5 (-110) at 60%, matching the external share. The modeled equivalent sample was 360 Rams selections to 240 Washington selections, not observed betting tickets. Washington +5.5 gained two percentage points from the Nov. 2 snapshot. These figures describe selection preferences, not the Rams' probability of covering.

Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Commanders spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Rams -5.5 (-110) and Commanders +5.5 (-110). Our projected four-point Rams victory makes Washington the side that fits the score forecast, but a projected score alone is too narrow a foundation for a wager.

The favorite's rushing production supports the winner selection. Washington's recent pressure and Stafford's unresolved condition make the winning margin much harder to judge. The 60% consensus preference for Los Angeles does not turn that uncertainty into a demonstrated betting edge.

Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Commanders total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 47.5 (-110) and Under 47.5 (-110). The projected 44 points lean toward the Under, consistent with the 56% Under preference in both the external and blended consensus. That agreement remains a collection of preferences, not independent proof of value.

Both teams held their latest opponents to 10 points or fewer, which informs the restrained forecast. Still, those two results are not a reliable scoring baseline by themselves. Turnover-created opportunities and uncertain player availability leave enough room for a different scoring pattern to keep the total a Pass.

Los Angeles Rams vs Washington Commanders Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Rams 24, Commanders 20. Los Angeles gets the slight edge from the demonstrated production of its two backs. Washington's defensive disruption is the strongest football counterargument, while Stafford's arm injury is the largest personnel uncertainty.

Confidence is low. The Rams remain the selected winner, but neither a spread wager nor a total wager offers a sufficiently convincing advantage at the supplied prices. The single official SportsJaw betting lean is Pass.
