Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers prediction: Projected score and betting picks

Game time: November 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET

Venue: Lambeau Field — Green Bay, WI

Article updated Nov 8, 10:33 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Green Bay will beat Minnesota, Packers 21, Vikings 18, in our Nov. 15 forecast. Minnesota’s recent offensive injury concerns, combined with Green Bay’s home setting, provide the strongest reason to favor the Packers narrowly. Confidence is low because those injury designations concern Week 9. Neither Packers -2.5 (-120) nor the 41.5 total offers enough demonstrated value for an actionable wager. The official recommendation is Pass.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers prediction and best bet

Green Bay is the projected winner, but the best betting decision is Pass. Minnesota’s recent quarterback and skill-position injury concerns tilt the forecast toward the Packers. Green Bay’s own offensive uncertainty keeps the projected margin at three points.

A Packers win and a profitable spread bet are separate judgments. Packers 21, Vikings 18 would cover -2.5, but a single projected score cannot measure how often that cover would occur. With low confidence in the margin, paying -120 is not an attractive commitment.

Minnesota Vikings outlook

Minnesota’s Nov. 7 official injury report ruled quarterback Kyler Murray out for the Nov. 9 Buffalo game with a hamstring injury. Running back Demond Claiborne, dealing with a knee injury, and receiver Jauan Jennings, dealing with a calf injury, were also ruled out. Those are Week 9 decisions, not confirmed absences against Green Bay.

Murray missed practice Thursday through Saturday. Claiborne and Jennings were limited Thursday before missing Friday and Saturday. That practice pattern makes offensive health a meaningful concern in this forecast, without assuming any of the three will miss another game.

The same report gave tackle Christian Darrisaw no game-status designation for Week 9. That offers a more balanced picture than treating Minnesota’s entire offense as unavailable. A healthier group against Green Bay would weaken the main reason for favoring the Packers.

Green Bay Packers outlook

Green Bay’s Nov. 2 update offered mixed offensive signals. Coach Matt LaFleur said pass protection had improved, while the running game continued to struggle. He was still evaluating the guard combination among Laken Tomlinson, Aaron Banks and Kevin Zeitler and wanted better offensive-line continuity.

Josh Jacobs had played the preceding two weeks after missing the first six games on the commissioner’s exempt list. His return to action supplies personnel context, but LaFleur’s assessment cautions against assuming the running game had already recovered.

On defense, LaFleur said Micah Parsons hoped to return to practice following knee-surgery recovery. He supplied no game-return timetable and suggested a return could come toward the later portion of the 21-day activation window once practice began. Zaire Franklin was day-to-day with a shin injury. Neither update confirms availability against Minnesota.

Key matchup factors

The central question is how much weight to give Minnesota’s recent offensive injuries against Green Bay’s own limitations. Another depleted Vikings offense would strengthen the Packers forecast. Improved Minnesota health would put more pressure on Green Bay to produce beyond the narrow margin projected here.

SportsJaw’s combined spread consensus favored Green Bay -2.5 (-120) at 68% as of Nov. 8 at 15:18 UTC. Its estimated combined sample assigned 408 of 600 selections to Green Bay. Those modeled equivalents are not observed sportsbook tickets or a count of SportsJaw member picks. Minnesota gained one percentage point from the Nov. 7 snapshot.

Prediction Markets Picks also selected Green Bay to win while recommending no betting position. Its Nov. 6 analysis cited a 60% market-implied win probability, not a SportsJaw win estimate. It projected Carson Wentz as Minnesota’s starter, but the official Week 9 injury report does not confirm the Week 10 starter. That assumption limits how strongly its forecast reinforces ours.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Green Bay Packers -2.5 (-120) and Minnesota Vikings +2.5 (+100).

The three-point forecast sits just beyond Green Bay’s covering threshold. That makes the Packers the directional preference, but leaves little room for a different game outcome. Minnesota’s plus-money spread price also needs a stronger football case than uncertainty alone.

Prediction Markets Picks discussed a median Packers -3. SportsJaw’s supplied line is -2.5 (-120), so its price assessment cannot simply be carried over. Agreement on the winner is useful perspective, not proof of spread value.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 41.5 (-110) and Under 41.5 (-110).

Our projection totals 39 points, giving the forecast an Under direction. Minnesota’s recent offensive health concerns and LaFleur’s running-game assessment support that restrained scoring expectation.

The counterweight is uncertainty about both offensive recovery and Green Bay’s defensive availability. There is no sufficiently firm scoring advantage to turn a 39-point projection into an official Under wager. The total decision stands separately from the spread Pass.

Minnesota Vikings vs Green Bay Packers Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Packers 21, Vikings 18. Green Bay gets the narrow nod at home, with Minnesota’s recent offensive injury problems the strongest matchup consideration.

The strongest counterargument is a healthier Vikings offense facing a Packers team still seeking offensive-line continuity. Confidence is low. Green Bay remains the projected winner, both betting markets remain passes, and the single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.

Green Bay is the projected winner, but the best betting decision is Pass. Minnesota’s recent quarterback and skill-position injury concerns tilt the forecast toward the Packers. Green Bay’s own offensive uncertainty keeps the projected margin at three points.

Minnesota’s Nov. 7 official injury report ruled quarterback Kyler Murray out for the Nov. 9 Buffalo game with a hamstring injury.
