Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos Predictions November 1, 2026

Game time: November 1, 2026 at 4:25 PM ET

Venue: Empower Field at Mile High — Denver, CO

Article updated Oct 28, 12:31 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Kansas City Chiefs will beat the Denver Broncos 21-20 in our forecast, with September’s 31-10 head-to-head victory providing the strongest matchup reason. Denver’s winning streak and uncertainty surrounding both teams’ personnel make this a narrow call. Neither Chiefs -1 (-110) nor the total of 40.5 offers a convincing betting edge at the supplied prices. The official SportsJaw wager is Pass.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos prediction and best bet

Kansas City gets the nod in this November 1 rematch, but confidence is low. The Chiefs already beat Denver by 21 points this season and enter at 5-1. Those results give them a slight advantage in the forecast, even with their most recent performance raising concerns about both scoring and getting the defense off the field.

Denver has won three straight and brings a 5-2 record into its home meeting with Kansas City. That is meaningful counterevidence to another comfortable Chiefs victory. With offensive availability questions for Kansas City and defensive questions for Denver, the best betting decision is Pass. A narrow Chiefs win is easier to project than a profitable spread or total position.

Kansas City Chiefs outlook

Kansas City’s September 14 victory over Denver supplies a direct reason to favor the Chiefs. The more immediate concern is their 20-3 loss at Seattle on October 25. Kansas City had just eight offensive possessions while Seattle controlled the ball for nearly 36 minutes. With so few opportunities, an unsuccessful drive becomes especially costly.

The defense contributed to that imbalance. Seattle converted 11 of 16 third downs, including five attempts requiring at least nine yards. Kansas City needs a better finish to defensive possessions here. Those numbers describe one poor outing, however, rather than proving Denver will enjoy the same success.

Rice’s availability remains disputed in the reports. NFL’s October 27 account called him out with a hamstring injury; DK Network’s October 27 update listed his status as TBD with hamstring and knee issues. CBS had listed him questionable on October 26. His absence should not be treated as a settled game-day fact. Travis Kelce’s reported season production is 24 catches, 343 yards and two touchdowns; Xavier Worthy has 35 targets.

Protection also deserves attention. Jaylon Moore missed Week 7 with a concussion, and Joshua Ezeudu started at right tackle. Moore’s Week 8 status remains uncertain. Josh Simmons is on injured reserve with a back injury, further complicating Kansas City’s tackle situation.

Denver Broncos outlook

Denver’s three consecutive victories make the September defeat an incomplete guide to this rematch. The Broncos enter at 5-2 after beating Arizona in Week 7. Bo Nix produced a season-high 62-yard touchdown run in that game, giving Kansas City a concrete example of the damage his mobility can cause.

That play matters to the forecast because a long quarterback run can change field position and scoring without requiring a succession of successful passes. It is also only one play. Denver still needs sustained execution, and Kansas City’s struggles against Seattle should not be treated as a promise of easy conversions for the Broncos.

The larger uncertainty is Denver’s defensive personnel. The October 27 injury update listed Pat Surtain II as TBD with an ankle sprain after he missed Week 7. Zach Allen was also TBD after suffering a hamstring injury late in the second half. Talanoa Hufanga missed Week 7 with an ankle injury and was expected to miss multiple weeks.

On offense, Jaylen Waddle’s chest injury adds another question after he left the Arizona game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Denver’s recent results support a competitive forecast, but unresolved availability across those positions makes taking Broncos +1 (-110) less appealing than the winning streak alone might suggest.

Key matchup factors

The central matchup is Kansas City’s ability to keep possessions alive against a Denver defense with several injury questions. If the Broncos remain without important defensive personnel, that could soften the effect of the Chiefs’ own offensive limitations. If Denver gets players back, Kansas City’s protection becomes a more pressing concern.

At the other end, the Chiefs need to turn favorable third-down situations into stops. Seattle’s five conversions from third-and-9 or longer explain why simply forcing long yardage is insufficient. Nix’s recent touchdown run adds a different challenge: containing the quarterback when a play extends. Those competing pressures favor a close game, while leaving the likely scoring pace uncertain.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Kansas City Chiefs -1 (-110) and Denver Broncos +1 (-110). Our Chiefs 21-20 forecast lands exactly on the spread, which would produce a push on either side. Kansas City’s earlier win supplies a reason to pick the winner, but it offers no precise measure of the rematch margin. Denver’s recent form argues for keeping that margin small. With personnel questions affecting both teams, neither laying the point nor taking it carries a convincing edge at -110.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 40.5 (-110) and Under 40.5 (-110). The projected 41 points clear the total by only half a point. That is too thin a cushion to justify an Over wager from this forecast. Kansas City’s three-point outing and offensive injury concerns pull toward lower scoring. Denver’s defensive availability questions and Nix’s demonstrated ability to create an explosive rushing score pull the other way. Neither direction has enough supporting evidence to overcome the uncertainty at the supplied price.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos projected score

Game forecast: Kansas City Chiefs 21, Denver Broncos 20. The September victory and Kansas City’s 5-1 record narrowly outweigh Denver’s current winning streak. This is a low-confidence projection, with the Chiefs selected to win a competitive rematch rather than repeat their earlier margin.

The strongest counterargument is the contrast in recent results: Denver has won three straight, while Kansas City just lost 20-3 and struggled to end Seattle’s possessions. Injury developments could also shift the balance, particularly at Kansas City’s tackle positions and in Denver’s defense. The projected margin offers no spread advantage, and the projected total barely exceeds 40.5. The single official SportsJaw wager is Pass.
