Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Predictions October 26, 2026

Game time: October 26, 2026 at 8:15 PM ET

Venue: Lincoln Financial Field — Philadelphia, PA

Article updated Oct 19, 9:56 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Dallas Cowboys will beat the Philadelphia Eagles, with a projected score of Cowboys 24, Eagles 20. Philadelphia’s absence of Jalen Hurts and its struggling rushing attack give Dallas the strongest matchup advantage. Dallas’ own turnovers and penalties make that edge fragile, however. Neither Cowboys -4.5 (-110) nor the total of 45 (-110) offers a strong enough case for an actionable wager.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles prediction and best bet

Dallas is the pick to win, but the official betting recommendation is Pass. Philadelphia must continue without Hurts, while the Cowboys showed a useful offensive baseline before their latest setback: they entered the October 18 Green Bay game averaging 27.6 points, seventh in the NFL.

That scoring history gives Dallas a route to a rebound. It does not erase a two-game losing streak or five turnovers across those losses. With Philadelphia also struggling, the forecast favors the Cowboys narrowly enough that laying 4.5 points demands more trust than their recent execution deserves.

Dallas Cowboys outlook

Dallas’ problems against Green Bay went beyond the final scoring output. The Cowboys gained 303 yards, their second-lowest total of the season, and trailed 17-0 at halftime. Dak Prescott threw for 258 yards with one touchdown, two interceptions and a 65.2 passer rating.

The running game supplied just 48 yards on 15 carries, an average of 3.2 yards. Dallas needs better balance, but projecting an immediate rushing recovery would be aggressive after that performance. Its earlier scoring average is the stronger reason to expect improvement.

Discipline also matters to the road favorite. Dallas committed 11 penalties for 108 yards, and Green Bay converted 11 of 18 third downs. Those results identify two ways the Cowboys could keep Philadelphia competitive even if their offense improves: costly flags and trouble getting off the field.

Philadelphia Eagles outlook

Hurts went on injured reserve October 17 because of a superficial blood clot in his calf. Philadelphia’s October 18 reporting said he would miss at least the next three games. That leaves his absence central to this forecast without assuming a confirmed starting lineup for October 26.

Tanner McKee completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards, one touchdown and no turnovers against Carolina in his season debut. Ball security was encouraging, but the Eagles scored only 14 points. Their rushing production was limited to 35 yards, all from Dameon Pierce.

DeVonta Smith supplied a positive in his return from injury, catching seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Separately, edge rusher Nolan Smith left in the second quarter with a concussion and was ruled out of that game. His October 26 availability remains uncertain.

Key matchup factors

The decisive question is whether Dallas can translate its stronger earlier scoring output into enough clean possessions to separate. Philadelphia’s turnover-free quarterback performance offers a counterweight: another careful game could force the Cowboys to earn their margin without help from takeaways.

SportsJaw’s October 19 consensus favors Dallas on the moneyline, 74 percent to 26 percent, with combined equivalent pick counts of 444 to 156. Those counts incorporate a modeled sportsbook sample and SportsJaw participation; they are not observed sportsbook ticket totals or a standalone tally of member picks.

Philadelphia gained eight percentage points of moneyline support from the October 18 snapshot. Spread support is evenly divided, with equivalent counts of 300 per side. The 74 percent moneyline share measures selection support, not Dallas’ win probability or confidence in this forecast.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Dallas Cowboys -4.5 (-110) and Philadelphia Eagles +4.5 (-110). The projected four-point Dallas victory falls just inside Philadelphia’s spread, but that narrow difference is too fragile to make the Eagles an official selection.

Dallas’ earlier scoring production and Hurts’ absence favor the Cowboys. Their turnovers, penalties and recent rushing struggles argue against trusting them to win comfortably. Philadelphia’s four-game losing streak makes taking the points uncomfortable as well. The evenly divided consensus adds no clear directional advantage.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 45 (-110) and Under 45 (-110). The projected 44 points shade below the line, and both teams struggled to score in their most recent games. Those performances give the Under a plausible case, but only a modest one.

Dallas’ preceding 27.6-point average is a meaningful counterargument. Turnovers also carry mixed implications for totals: they can end promising possessions or give an opponent favorable scoring opportunities. One poor offensive game from each team is insufficient reason to turn a one-point projection difference into an Under wager.

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles projected score

Game forecast: Cowboys 24, Eagles 20. Dallas gets the nod because its earlier scoring production offers a stronger rebound case against an Eagles offense missing Hurts. The strongest counterargument is the Cowboys’ own execution: repeated turnovers or penalties could overturn that narrow advantage.

Confidence is low. Philadelphia has a credible path through McKee’s ball security and DeVonta Smith’s receiving production, while neither rushing attack enters off an encouraging performance. Dallas remains the projected winner, but the single official SportsJaw betting lean is Pass.
