The Los Angeles Rams will beat the Arizona Cardinals, 34-23, with their 424.4-yard offense holding the strongest advantage against the NFL’s last-ranked scoring defense. Over 51.5 (-110) is the best bet at the supplied price, helped by Arizona’s safety absences and uncertainty in the Rams’ secondary. Los Angeles is the winner pick, but laying 12.5 points asks too much.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams prediction and best bet

Los Angeles has the offensive edge to win this matchup, while Over 51.5 (-110) offers the better wager. Arizona allows 32.4 points per game and has conceded at least 31 in each of its four consecutive losses. That is a difficult starting point against a Rams offense coming off Matthew Stafford’s three-touchdown performance against Buffalo.

The distinction is the margin. The Rams can control the scoring without covering nearly two touchdowns, particularly with two defensive backs questionable. A forecast of Rams 34, Cardinals 23 favors the Over and puts Arizona inside the spread, but the Cardinals’ own injuries make taking the points less appealing. The official wager is the total.

Arizona Cardinals outlook

Tyler Allgeier takes over as RB1 with Jeremiyah Love sidelined by an ankle injury. Love’s 245 rushing yards lead all rookies, and his 281 scrimmage yards rank second among rookies. Losing that production complicates Arizona’s effort to keep pace, although the change alone offers no reliable measure of how effective Allgeier will be.

The Cardinals used three-tight-end personnel on 25 snaps against Detroit, a franchise high. Those formations give Arizona an option for shaping its offense around heavier groups, but their frequency should not be mistaken for proof of successful rushing or sustained possession. Quarterback Carson Beck was limited Friday with a back injury and received no game-status designation.

The defensive absences are especially relevant to the total. Safeties Wydett Williams Jr. and Andrew Wingard are out, while Budda Baker is questionable with a groin injury. Linebacker Zaven Collins is questionable with a hip injury. Baker also leads Arizona with 2.5 sacks and is its only player with more than one through five games.

Los Angeles Rams outlook

Stafford completed 40 of 54 passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns against Buffalo. Combined with the Rams’ season average of 424.4 yards per game, that performance makes their offense the clearest reason to expect a home victory. Their 2-3 record nevertheless cautions against treating offensive production as a guarantee of comfortable wins.

Los Angeles leads the NFL in three-tight-end usage at 30.8% of offensive snaps. Tight end Davis Allen was limited Friday with a foot injury but had no game-status designation. That formation usage is a meaningful feature of the offense, although it does not by itself establish a pace or scoring advantage.

The secondary carries more uncertainty. Cornerback Trent McDuffie missed Friday practice with a groin injury and is questionable. Safety Kam Curl is also questionable after an ankle injury limited him Thursday and kept him out Friday. Their potential absences improve Arizona’s prospects of contributing enough points to threaten a Rams cover.

Key matchup factors

Arizona’s safety depth is the most consequential personnel concern for this forecast. Against an offense producing substantial yardage, missing multiple safeties could make coverage assignments harder to execute. That is an analytical risk, not a prediction that every Rams possession will produce points.

There is familiarity on the other sideline: Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur spent the previous three seasons working for Sean McVay. Arizona also ranks third in three-tight-end usage at 23.1%. Shared tendencies may influence preparation, but neither coaching familiarity nor similar formations guarantees that Arizona can slow Los Angeles.

SportsJaw’s October 18 consensus update at 11:05 UTC favors Rams -12.5 (-110) at 70% in the blended spread measure, up four percentage points from the previous-day snapshot. The combined modeled count is 433 Rams selections out of 619, incorporating modeled sportsbook activity and SportsJaw participation rather than observed ticket totals. SportsJaw members separately favor that side at 63%. These are selection shares, not win probabilities.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Rams -12.5 (-110) and Cardinals +12.5 (-110). Los Angeles has won five straight home games against Arizona and nine of 10 meetings in Los Angeles under McVay. That history supports the winner forecast, but it says less about covering this particular number.

The projected 11-point margin falls short of a Rams cover. Still, Arizona’s defensive results and missing personnel make the underdog vulnerable to a larger defeat. With credible paths on both sides of 12.5, neither spread offers the strongest wager.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams total prediction

Total recommendation: Over 51.5 (-110). The 57-point projection rests primarily on the Rams offense against Arizona’s struggling defense, with the Rams’ secondary uncertainty adding another route to scoring. Arizona does not need to match Los Angeles touchdown for touchdown for this total to clear.

The main risk is Arizona’s contribution. Love’s absence and Beck’s recent back limitation could leave the Cardinals short of the projected 23 points. SportsJaw’s blended total consensus favors Over 51.5 (-110) at 61%, while qualified handicappers favor it at 63%. That agreement is secondary support, not a substitute for the matchup analysis.

Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Los Angeles Rams 34, Arizona Cardinals 23. Confidence is medium. The Rams have the stronger offensive case, but their defensive injury questions are the clearest counterargument to a runaway result. Arizona’s offensive injuries are the biggest threat to the total pick. Pass on the spread; Over 51.5 (-110) is the single official SportsJaw wager.
