Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers Predictions October 11, 2026

Game time: October 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET

Venue: Acrisure Stadium — Pittsburgh, PA

Article updated Oct 7, 2:17 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Indianapolis Colts are projected to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, Colts 23, Steelers 20, with Jonathan Taylor’s recent production and Pittsburgh’s uneven offense giving Indianapolis a slight edge. Taylor faces a defensive front missing Derrick Harmon, but that alone is insufficient reason to back the underdog. At Colts +2.5 (-104) and a total of 44.5, the official recommendation is Pass.

Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers prediction and best bet

Indianapolis gets the narrow nod in this 2026 NFL Week 5 matchup. Taylor gives the Colts a promising starting point after their win over Washington, while Pittsburgh’s offensive performance against Cleveland showed how quickly a productive possession can give way to stalled drives.

The forecast is Colts 23, Steelers 20, with low confidence. Pittsburgh has a productive back of its own in Jaylen Warren, and Indianapolis has an injury concern on its defensive front. Those competing factors make this a fragile outright pick. The best betting decision is Pass: neither the spread nor the total offers a sufficiently convincing edge at the supplied price.

Odds, game time and how to watch

Kickoff: Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Venue: Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Broadcast: CBS, with Jim Nantz on play-by-play, J.J. Watt as analyst and Tracy Wolfson reporting from the field.

Record: Pittsburgh enters at 2-2 through four weeks.

Probable starters: Indianapolis’ October 6 unofficial depth chart lists Daniel Jones first at quarterback and Jonathan Taylor first at running back.

SportsJaw odds: Indianapolis Colts +2.5 (-104); Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 (-108). Moneyline: Indianapolis +120, Pittsburgh -140. Total: Over 44.5 (-110), Under 44.5 (-104).

Indianapolis Colts outlook

Indianapolis beat Washington 30-13 in London on October 4. Taylor carried 20 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns, supplying both a substantial workload and scoring production. That performance makes the running game the clearest reason to favor the Colts here, although one productive outing should not be treated as a guarantee of another.

The depth chart also lists Josh Downs and Keenan Allen at wide receiver, with Tyler Warren first at tight end. Those listings identify Jones’ receiving options without settling how Indianapolis will distribute its opportunities against Pittsburgh.

Health complicates the outlook. Defensive end Arden Key is expected to miss time with a hamstring injury, and the club had not decided whether to place him on injured reserve. Wide receiver Ashton Dulin is also managing a hamstring injury and was due to be monitored during the week. Neither situation should be presented as a finalized game-day designation.

Pittsburgh Steelers outlook

Pittsburgh’s offense against Cleveland offered two very different pictures. The Steelers opened with a 17-play, 78-yard touchdown drive lasting 9:48, then recorded three third-quarter three-and-outs. They converted 4 of 13 third downs, or 30.8 percent. The concern is sustaining execution across a full game.

Jaylen Warren is the strongest counterweight to that concern. He produced a career-high 176 yards from scrimmage in the Week 3 win over Cincinnati and followed with 126 against Cleveland. Those consecutive performances give Pittsburgh a credible route to offensive production even if its third-down difficulties persist.

Rico Dowdle had missed recent games with a toe injury and said October 6 that he was improving, but he had no return timetable. Defensive tackle Derrick Harmon went on reserve/injured October 5. Pittsburgh’s coordinators also identified tackling and Cleveland’s game-winning two-minute drive as areas needing attention.

Key matchup factors

The injuries on both defensive fronts matter more to this forecast than a simple comparison of the running backs. Harmon’s absence creates a potential opening for Taylor, while Key’s expected absence is a reason to temper enthusiasm for Indianapolis’ defense. Neither injury comes with a quantified effect on this matchup.

Possession length cuts both ways. A successful rushing plan could help Indianapolis limit Pittsburgh’s opportunities, but the Steelers’ long opening drive against Cleveland showed they can also sustain possession. The decisive question is which offense turns that control into points consistently.

The October 7 SportsJaw consensus update showed its strongest preference on Over 44.5 (-110), at 83 percent. The combined consensus count was 498 Over selections to 102 Under selections, incorporating modeled sportsbook equivalents and SportsJaw participation through an 80/20 weighting. These are not observed sportsbook ticket totals or an 83 percent probability that the Over wins.

Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Indianapolis Colts +2.5 (-104) and Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 (-108). The projected Colts victory points toward Indianapolis, but the confidence behind that forecast is too limited to turn it into an official spread wager.

The distinction at this number matters. Colts +2.5 covers an Indianapolis win or a loss by one or two points; a three-point Pittsburgh victory loses the bet. Taylor’s recent performance and Pittsburgh’s offensive interruptions favor the underdog case, but Warren’s production and Indianapolis’ defensive injury concern keep the margin highly uncertain.

Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 44.5 (-110) and Under 44.5 (-104). The projected 43 points sit 1.5 below the line, a small separation for a low-confidence forecast.

The Under case rests on stalled possessions and the possibility of lengthy rushing drives reducing the number of scoring opportunities. The Over case draws strength from the backs’ recent production and Pittsburgh’s tackling concerns. Sustained drives can also end in touchdowns, so a run-oriented forecast does not automatically mean a low total. The strong consensus preference for the Over is context, not enough by itself to justify the wager.

Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers projected score

Game forecast: Colts 23, Steelers 20. Indianapolis receives the slight edge because Taylor’s latest performance offers a plausible way to attack a Pittsburgh front missing Harmon, while the Steelers are trying to correct uneven offensive execution.

The strongest counterargument is Warren’s consecutive productive games, especially with Key expected to miss time for Indianapolis. Pittsburgh could win if it sustains drives more consistently. Confidence: low. Official SportsJaw wager: Pass. The winner prediction stands, but neither supplied betting market warrants a commitment.
