Utah State Aggies vs Washington Huskies Betting Picks & Predictions
The Huskies bring a strong defensive opener into their meeting with the Aggies, but injuries on both offenses complicate the betting outlook.
Matchup and opening results
The Utah State Aggies visit the Washington Huskies at Husky Stadium on September 12 in Week 2 of the 2026 college football season. Washington enters 1-0 after beating Washington State 24-10. Utah State is 0-1 following a 29-17 loss to Idaho State.
Washington prevented Washington State from converting any of its 11 third-down attempts. The Huskies also recorded three sacks and eight tackles for loss, allowing 100 rushing yards at 3.2 yards per carry.
Utah State gained 407 yards in its opener but committed four turnovers, including three interceptions by McCae Hillstead. That combination makes the yardage total an incomplete measure of the Aggies' offensive performance.
Injuries affect both offenses
A September 11 Deseret News report said Hillstead was expected to retain the starting job despite a hand/forearm-grip issue that affected his opening-game throws. Utah State offensive lineman George Maile also remains out injured.
Washington will be without starting running backs Quaid Carr and Jaydin Lamar after injuries against Washington State. They contributed 75 of the Huskies' 134 rushing yards in that game.
Demond Williams Jr. supplied production through the air and on the ground, throwing for 268 yards with a 68.6% completion rate and rushing for 61 yards on seven carries. Those results establish his opening performance, but they do not establish Washington's expected margin against Utah State.
