Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Tulane Green Wave prediction, odds and best bet for Nov. 7, 2026

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET

Venue: Yulman Stadium — New Orleans, LA

Article updated Nov 4, 1:17 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Tulsa is our projected winner over Tulane, 27-24, on Nov. 7, with its higher scoring average and Tulane’s vulnerable third-down defense providing the strongest matchup reason. The Golden Hurricane have the offensive advantage, but their rushing defense leaves room for a Tulane response. Confidence is low, and neither Tulsa -1.5 (-108) nor total 50 (-110) offers a strong enough case for an actionable wager.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Tulane Green Wave prediction and best bet

Tulsa gets the winning forecast because its stronger offensive production meets a Tulane defense allowing opponents to convert half their third downs. That combination favors the Golden Hurricane in a close game. Our call is Tulsa 27, Tulane 24; the official betting recommendation is Pass.

Picking the winner is easier than endorsing the price here. Both teams have a vulnerable run defense, and the outside projections favor different winners by narrow margins. Tulsa has enough advantages to earn the selection, but the case for laying 1.5 points is fragile.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane outlook

The Associated Press lists Tulsa at 29.8 points and 369.8 total yards per game. Baylor Hayes has completed 63.0% of his passes for 1,343 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. Oran Singleton has contributed 535 receiving yards and four touchdowns, giving Tulsa a productive receiving option.

Hayes threw for 262 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Oct. 23 loss to Army. Tulsa scored 35 points but surrendered 38, a reminder that useful offensive production can still leave the Golden Hurricane short of a victory.

The defense allows 202.0 rushing yards per game. That is the main reason to temper enthusiasm for Tulsa: an opponent can challenge it on the ground without needing to match Hayes’ passing numbers. Tulsa’s +10 turnover margin is favorable history, but another positive turnover differential cannot be assumed.

Tulane Green Wave outlook

Tulane’s 38-31 win at Charlotte on Oct. 30 supplies its most encouraging recent offensive evidence. Trace Johnson completed 28 of 36 passes for 284 yards, while Johnnie Daniels rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Daniels has 493 rushing yards and six touchdowns for the season.

The season averages are more modest: Tulane produces 22.5 points and 348.9 total yards per game. Johnson’s Charlotte performance suggests a route to exceeding that scoring average again, although one result carries less weight than the broader offensive record.

Defensively, Tulane allows 214.3 rushing yards per game and ranks 134th in defensive third-down rate, with opponents converting 50% of their opportunities. Those weaknesses give Tulsa more than one way to extend possessions. Tulane’s -3 turnover margin adds another concern in a matchup priced this closely.

Key matchup factors

Finishing possessions matters more to this forecast than simply accumulating yards. Tulane’s difficulty producing third-down stops creates an opening for Tulsa to sustain drives. Conversely, Daniels gives Tulane a plausible way to exploit Tulsa’s rushing defense. Neither offense needs a dominant passing performance for this game to remain competitive.

Outside analysts disagree. BetMGM’s model selects Tulsa, reporting 51.7% confidence in a win and 51.2% confidence in a cover. Dimers assigns Tulane a 51.5% win probability and Tulsa 48.5%, with a rounded 25-25 score projection. Those are separate model outputs, not a shared probability or SportsJaw’s confidence rating.

The SportsJaw consensus update at 6:14 a.m. UTC on Nov. 4 shows external and blended spread support at 62% for Tulane +1.5 (-108), up one percentage point from Nov. 3. External and blended total support favor Over 50 (-110) at 56%. These figures describe selection preferences, not the likelihood that either wager wins.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Tulane Green Wave spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Tulsa -1.5 (-108) and Tulane +1.5 (-108). Our three-point Tulsa forecast falls on the favorite’s side, but a projected score is not precise enough to make that small difference a convincing betting advantage.

Tulsa’s offensive numbers favor laying the points; Tulane’s rushing opportunity and the divided projections argue for restraint. Dimers’ stated spread selection is Tulane +2.5, a more favorable number than SportsJaw’s +1.5. Its recommendation should not be transferred unchanged to this price. BetMGM’s narrow cover confidence also leaves little room for conviction.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Tulane Green Wave total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 50 (-110) and Under 50 (-110). Our projected 51 points give the Over only a slight numerical lean. Both rushing defenses offer reasons to expect scoring, and each team’s cited recent game finished above 50.

Those two results are not enough to predict another high total confidently. Tulane’s season scoring average is substantially below its Charlotte output, while Dimers’ rounded projection totals exactly 50. The 56% consensus preference for Over adds context, but the scoring evidence remains too mixed to make it the official wager.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Tulane Green Wave Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Tulsa Golden Hurricane 27, Tulane Green Wave 24. Tulsa’s scoring advantage and Tulane’s third-down weakness decide the editorial pick. The strongest counterargument is Daniels against Tulsa’s run defense, especially after Tulane’s productive Charlotte performance.

Confidence is low because the advantages are modest and the outside models disagree on the winner. Tulsa is the selection to win; both the spread and total are passes. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
