Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Picks & Predictions

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET

Venue: Bobby Dodd Stadium — Atlanta, GA

Article updated Nov 1, 10:31 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Louisville will beat Georgia Tech, with a projected score of Louisville 38, Georgia Tech 17. The strongest reason is the Cardinals’ productive rushing performance against Stanford, paired with the Yellow Jackets’ offensive struggles at Pitt. That recent contrast favors Louisville, but neither the expensive spread nor the 58.5-point total offers a strong enough betting edge. The official wager is Pass.

Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets prediction and best bet

Louisville gets the pick after a 52-24 victory over Stanford on October 31. Its 545 total yards included 296 rushing yards, giving the Cardinals a persuasive offensive performance to build on. Georgia Tech enters this November 7 matchup after losing 34-11 at Pitt, where it finished with season lows of 11 points and 238 yards.

Those results favor Louisville, although comparing games against different opponents leaves considerable uncertainty about the margin. The forecast is Louisville 38, Georgia Tech 17, with low confidence. Louisville -17.5 (-9,900) carries too steep a cost, and the scoring evidence is too mixed to back either direction at 58.5. The best betting decision is Pass.

Louisville Cardinals outlook

Louisville’s October 31 win featured several contributors, which makes the offensive case more convincing than the final score alone. Isaac Brown rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns against Stanford, then added 33 receiving yards and another touchdown. His production in both roles gives Georgia Tech more to consider than simply stopping his carries.

Quarterback Lincoln Kienholz accounted for more than 300 total yards and three touchdowns. Tre Richardson established career highs with 10 receptions and 140 receiving yards. Together, those performances suggest Louisville has multiple ways to keep possessions moving if Georgia Tech limits one part of the offense. The forecast assumes enough of that variety carries into this road game.

There are limits to the optimism. Stanford still scored 24 points, so the win should not be read as evidence that Louisville will shut down Georgia Tech. The Cardinals recorded two sacks and an interception, but those plays came against a different opponent. Their latest performance supports picking them to win; it offers less certainty about whether they can build and protect the substantial margin required by the spread.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets outlook

Georgia Tech’s loss at Pitt began with a 17-0 deficit and reached halftime at 17-3. The Yellow Jackets ultimately managed 238 offensive yards and 11 points, both season lows. Their combined 4-for-23 showing on third and fourth downs is the clearest concern: a similar conversion performance would make it difficult to answer Louisville consistently.

The takeaway performance offers a more encouraging angle. Georgia Tech forced a season-high three turnovers and finished with a 3-2 turnover advantage. That was not enough to prevent a 34-11 defeat, illustrating why recovering possessions must be accompanied by better offensive execution. Against Louisville, takeaways could help narrow the gap, but projecting another three would be an aggressive assumption.

Grady Adamson supplied a promising individual contribution, generating 125 total yards in one quarter against Pitt. That included 63 rushing yards and 62 passing yards. His production gives Georgia Tech an encouraging piece of recent offensive evidence, although one quarter is a small sample for projecting an entire game.

The Yellow Jackets return home after three consecutive defeats. Their best route to a competitive finish is a steadier start, more successful conversions and points from any extra possessions their defense creates.

Key matchup factors

Possession quality matters more here than simply comparing last week’s scoring totals. Louisville’s combination of rushing and receiving production suggests it can respond if its first option stalls. Georgia Tech needs to improve its conversions so that one unsuccessful play does not repeatedly end a possession.

Turnovers are the strongest counterweight to the Louisville forecast. Extra possessions could give Georgia Tech chances to score without requiring repeated long drives. The teams’ four meetings since Louisville joined the ACC in 2014 are tied 2-2, and Georgia Tech won the only previous Bobby Dodd meeting, 46-27 on October 9, 2020. That history supplies context, but the much more recent performances carry greater weight in this prediction.

Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets spread prediction

The projected 21-point Louisville victory clears the 17.5-point spread by 3.5 points. That is a relatively narrow cushion for a forecast built largely on each team’s latest game. Georgia Tech’s takeaways and Adamson’s productive quarter offer plausible ways for the actual margin to finish smaller.

At Louisville -17.5 (-9,900), the potential return is especially unforgiving of that uncertainty. Georgia Tech +17.5 (-9,900) carries the same cost without a convincing case that its offense will keep this close. Spread recommendation: Pass on Louisville -17.5 (-9,900) and Georgia Tech +17.5 (-9,900).

Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets total prediction

The projected score totals 55 points, putting the forecast 3.5 points below 58.5. Georgia Tech’s offensive difficulties make the Under tempting, but Louisville’s 52-point outing shows why a low Georgia Tech score alone would not settle the wager.

There is also uncertainty about whether Georgia Tech can extend Adamson’s productive stretch or generate scoring opportunities through takeaways. Either development could lift the total beyond the projection. The modest gap between 55 and 58.5 is not enough to justify a bet. Total recommendation: Pass on Under 58.5 (-110) and Over 58.5 (-110).

Louisville Cardinals vs Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Louisville Cardinals 38, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 17. Louisville’s varied offensive production against Stanford is the strongest reason to select the Cardinals. Georgia Tech’s poor conversion performance at Pitt makes it harder to project the Yellow Jackets matching that scoring pace.

The strongest counterargument is Georgia Tech’s ability to create extra possessions, reinforced by its three takeaways last week. Adamson’s productive quarter adds another reason to leave room for a closer result. Confidence is low because the recent evidence is limited and comes against different opponents. Louisville is the projected winner, both the spread and total recommendations are Pass, and the single official SportsJaw betting lean is Pass.
