Georgia Bulldogs vs Mississippi Rebels Betting Picks & Predictions

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET

Venue: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium — Oxford, MS

Article updated Nov 1, 1:52 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Georgia will beat Mississippi 27-24 in our forecast, with the Bulldogs' rushing production and defensive disruption against Florida providing the strongest matchup reason. Mississippi's 16-game home winning streak and Trinidad Chambliss's passing and rushing production make this a low-confidence selection. Neither Georgia -3 (-115) nor either side of the supplied 55.5 total offers a convincing wager. The official recommendation is Pass.

Georgia Bulldogs vs Mississippi Rebels prediction and best bet

Georgia gets the narrow winner selection because its latest performance paired a productive ground game with a disruptive defense. Against Florida on Oct. 31, the Bulldogs rushed for 217 yards and recorded four sacks and 11 tackles for loss. That gives them a plausible route to winning in Oxford without needing a big passing afternoon.

The concern is how heavily takeaways influenced that result: Georgia scored 17 points from four Florida turnovers. Projecting another such return would be aggressive against a Mississippi team coming off a 45-15 win. Our forecast is Georgia 27, Mississippi 24, with low confidence. The best betting decision is Pass, with neither the spread nor total offering a strong enough edge.

Georgia Bulldogs outlook

Georgia beat Florida 27-8 in Atlanta on Oct. 31, holding the Gators to 252 total yards. Its four sacks and 11 tackles for loss matter here because disrupting Mississippi before Chambliss can finish a play is one route to containing him. Those numbers describe an effective afternoon, though they are a one-game snapshot rather than proof of a season-long advantage.

The Bulldogs gained 318 total yards, including 217 rushing yards on 42 carries. That ground production is the most encouraging offensive detail for this matchup. If Georgia can sustain it against Mississippi, the Bulldogs can build possessions without asking Gunner Stockton to carry the offense through the air.

Stockton completed 13 of 23 passes for 101 yards against Florida. That modest passing output leaves an important question if the Rebels stop the run early in possessions. Georgia's takeaways also supplied 17 of its 27 points, so the final margin should not be treated as a measure of offensive dominance alone. The Bulldogs won last year's meeting in Athens 43-35 and are 2-1 across the previous three regular-season meetings. That history offers context, but little reason to expect an easy road win.

Mississippi Rebels outlook

Mississippi's Oct. 31 win over Auburn supplied the strongest argument against the Georgia selection. Chambliss completed 22 of 34 passes for 263 yards, added 65 rushing yards and accounted for three total touchdowns. His production in both phases gives the Rebels more than one way to challenge the pressure Georgia generated against Florida.

For this matchup, Chambliss's running is especially relevant. Georgia needs to pressure him while keeping him contained; an open escape route could turn a promising defensive play into useful yardage. That is a matchup possibility suggested by his Auburn rushing production, rather than a claim about how often he escapes sacks.

Mississippi also recorded a season-high 10 tackles for loss against Auburn, with Suntarine Perkins contributing two sacks. Those negative plays offer a route to making Georgia's passing game more important than it was last week. The Rebels' home record reinforces the case for a close contest: their 16th consecutive home victory tied the second-longest active FBS streak and was the longest among Power Four teams. Still, a winning streak says less about Saturday's margin than the immediate contest between Mississippi's defensive disruption and Georgia's rushing attack.

Key matchup factors

The pivotal question is which offense can stay productive when its first option breaks down. Georgia's latest rushing performance suggests a workable foundation, but Mississippi's tackles for loss against Auburn raise the risk of stalled possessions. Chambliss offers passing and running production, while Georgia's defensive pressure makes ball security particularly important.

Turnovers introduce the largest uncertainty. Another cluster of takeaways could swing both the margin and total, but Georgia should not be credited with those possessions in advance. The forecast gives the Bulldogs a slight advantage from their recent combination of rushing and defense. Mississippi's quarterback production and home success keep that advantage small.

Georgia Bulldogs vs Mississippi Rebels spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Georgia -3 (-115) and Mississippi +3 (-105). Our three-point Georgia forecast lands exactly on the spread, which would produce a push on either side.

A projected margin is only one estimate, and neither team's latest performance gives enough reason to favor a larger Georgia win or a tighter result at these prices. The Bulldogs' rushing and pressure support the winner selection. Chambliss and Mississippi's disruptive defense supply credible counterarguments. The cheaper price on Mississippi does not, by itself, make the Rebels the bet.

Georgia Bulldogs vs Mississippi Rebels total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 55.5 (-118) and Under 55.5 (-102). The forecast adds up to 51 points, making Under the directional preference, but the scoring evidence is mixed.

Georgia's latest game featured limited passing production and only eight Florida points. Mississippi, meanwhile, scored 45 against Auburn behind Chambliss's contributions through the air and on the ground. Turnovers could also create quick scoring chances instead of simply ending drives. A projection 4.5 points below the line is not enough here to justify an official Under wager.

Georgia Bulldogs vs Mississippi Rebels Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Georgia Bulldogs 27, Mississippi Rebels 24. The Bulldogs get the selection on the strength of their recent rushing production and defensive disruption, with the expectation of a competitive finish rather than a repeat of their 19-point win over Florida.

The strongest counterargument is Mississippi's combination of Chambliss's dual-threat production and sustained home success. Georgia's reliance on turnover points last week adds another reason for low confidence. The forecast favors Georgia, while the betting assessment stays cautious: Pass on both supplied spreads and on the 55.5 total. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
