Sacramento St. Hornets vs Central Michigan Chippewas prediction, odds and best bet for Nov. 11

Game time: November 11, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET

Venue: Kelly/Shorts Stadium — Mount Pleasant, MI

Article updated Nov 6, 1:41 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Central Michigan will beat Sacramento State, with a projected score of Central Michigan 28, Sacramento State 17. The Chippewas’ sustained offensive production and defensive control against Eastern Michigan give them the stronger recent performance entering Wednesday’s matchup. That favors the home team to win, but the supplied prices offer no compelling wager: SportsJaw’s official betting recommendation is Pass.

Sacramento St. Hornets vs Central Michigan Chippewas prediction and best bet

Central Michigan is the winner pick, with medium confidence in the game forecast. Its latest victory featured productive rushing, efficient passing and a defense that limited Eastern Michigan’s opportunities. The question at Central Michigan -14.5 (-102) is whether that performance warrants expecting another comfortable margin.

Our answer is to pass on the spread and total. Sacramento State’s three-point loss to Toledo supplies a meaningful counterweight to the favorite’s latest result. An 11-point projected victory leaves room for Central Michigan to control the outcome without covering, but that projection alone is not enough to recommend the Hornets.

Sacramento St. Hornets outlook

Sacramento State lost 20-17 to Toledo on Nov. 4. The narrow final margin matters when considering a spread above two touchdowns, although it offers no detail about how the Hornets moved the ball or when the game became close.

Their preceding result showed a different route to competitiveness. Sacramento State’s official report credits the Hornets with five takeaways and nearly 35 minutes of possession in a 31-10 victory over Kent State on Oct. 30.

Freshman Isaiah Ene rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns in that win. Fata Puloka forced two fumbles, and Miles Bailey recovered two. Those contributions suggest a possible path through rushing production and defensive disruption, but expecting another five-takeaway game would put too much weight on one result.

Central Michigan Chippewas outlook

Central Michigan’s official recap reports that its 35-7 victory over Eastern Michigan at Ford Field on Nov. 4 ended a three-game losing streak. The Chippewas led 21-0 at halftime, making this a convincing rebound after a difficult stretch.

Nick Woodford rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Jadyn Glasser completed 14 of 19 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown. Both phases contributed, giving the winner forecast more substance than the final score alone.

The university’s notebook adds that Central Michigan ran 75 plays to Eastern Michigan’s 44, earned 26 first downs to nine and held possession for 40:56. Eastern Michigan’s 74 rushing yards and nine first downs were season lows for a Chippewa opponent. The challenge is sustaining that level after the preceding losses.

Key matchup factors

The central question is which team can sustain possessions without needing takeaways. Central Michigan’s latest first-down production makes it our preferred side in that comparison. Sacramento State’s Kent State performance offers an alternative script, especially if its defense interrupts drives and gives Ene more opportunities.

Bandwagon’s Axle 2.0 model favors Central Michigan 32-17 with an 81% win probability. Its stated inputs are team ratings and home advantage, excluding injuries and weather. Bandwagon also reports that LuckAdjusted favors Central Michigan by 17.7 points with an 86.4% win probability.

Those are other analysts’ projections, not SportsJaw confidence ratings or community picks. They agree on the winner and anticipate a larger margin than our forecast. Their agreement strengthens the case for considering Central Michigan, but it does not turn the spread into an automatic bet.

Sacramento St. Hornets vs Central Michigan Chippewas spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Central Michigan -14.5 (-102) and Sacramento State +14.5 (-104). The favorite must win by at least 15 points to cover. Our projected 11-point margin falls short, while Bandwagon’s 15-point forecast barely clears that threshold.

LuckAdjusted’s reported margin is more favorable to laying the points. Still, Central Michigan’s preceding losing streak and Sacramento State’s close Toledo result leave enough uncertainty to avoid backing a repeat rout. The Hornets get the projected cover, but their recent results are too limited to make +14.5 (-104) an official wager.

Sacramento St. Hornets vs Central Michigan Chippewas total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 43.5 (-110) and Under 43.5 (-110). Our forecast totals 45 points, a slight numerical lean toward the Over. Bandwagon’s model total of 49 points also favors that direction relative to the supplied line.

Possession control has competing implications: sustained drives can create scoring chances while consuming time. The recent results offer examples of both scoring production and defensive resistance, without a clear pace or efficiency trend. A projected total just 1.5 points above the line is too thin a margin for our official bet.

Sacramento St. Hornets vs Central Michigan Chippewas Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Central Michigan 28, Sacramento State 17. The Chippewas’ latest rushing, passing and defensive performances support the home victory. Sacramento State’s close loss to Toledo and takeaway-driven Kent State win are the strongest counterarguments to expecting an easy cover.

Confidence is medium in the winner forecast. We expect a smaller margin than the cited models and retain a Pass on both supplied markets. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
