Central Florida Golden Knights vs Oklahoma St. Cowboys Predictions October 10, 2026

Game time: October 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET

Venue: Boone Pickens Stadium — Stillwater, OK

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Oklahoma St. will beat Central Florida, 31-20, in the Oct. 10 matchup. The Cowboys' favorite status and Central Florida's late offensive breakdown at Houston give Oklahoma St. the edge, although the Golden Knights' passing production makes this a low-confidence forecast. Neither Oklahoma St. -9.5 (-110) nor the 51.5 total offers a compelling wager. The official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.

Central Florida Golden Knights vs Oklahoma St. Cowboys prediction and best bet

The Cowboys are the pick to win, but the best betting decision is Pass. Oklahoma St. is favored by 9.5 points against a Central Florida team that lost 27-17 at No. 20 Houston on Oct. 3 despite leading 17-0 late in the third quarter.

That reversal exposes the main concern for the Golden Knights: sustaining offense when a game turns against them. Their earlier success also matters. A team that built that lead has a credible route to keeping this matchup competitive, even if Oklahoma St. remains the more likely winner.

The forecast favors the Cowboys by 11 points. That is a narrow cushion against the spread, especially with confidence low. The total requires its own assessment, and a 51-point projection offers no persuasive advantage against 51.5.

Odds, game time and how to watch

Date and matchup: Central Florida visits Oklahoma St. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, in college football.

Broadcast: ESPN+, according to UCF Athletics' Oct. 3 game report.

SportsJaw spread: Central Florida +9.5 (-110); Oklahoma St. -9.5 (-110).

SportsJaw total: Over 51.5 (-115); Under 51.5 (-105).

SportsJaw moneyline: Central Florida +270; Oklahoma St. -345.

Central Florida Golden Knights outlook

Keyone Jenkins supplied both passing and rushing production against Houston. He completed 23 of 35 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown and scored another touchdown on the ground. Those contributions give the Golden Knights a plausible offensive foundation for an upset attempt.

Josh Derry caught seven passes for 101 yards, reaching 100 receiving yards for the 10th time in his career. Duke Watson supplied a different kind of scoring opportunity: his 37-yard run set up Jenkins' five-yard touchdown run.

The finish was much less encouraging. Houston held Central Florida to 48 total yards in the fourth quarter, including minus-6 rushing yards. Across the Golden Knights' final five possessions, beginning late in the third quarter, they threw an interception, went three-and-out twice and turned the ball over on downs twice. Better continuity is essential to their chances here.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys outlook

Oklahoma St.'s -345 moneyline and -9.5 spread make the Cowboys the clear market favorite. UCF's Oct. 3 report also identified its next opponent as No. 19 Oklahoma State. That ranking is dated context, rather than a claim about a subsequent poll.

The Cowboys' route to the projected victory is to make Central Florida sustain drives throughout the game. Houston eventually interrupted that rhythm, but repeating Houston's success is a task for Oklahoma St., not an established defensive strength.

Confidence stays low because there is no comparable recent Cowboys performance detail to strengthen the matchup assessment. The market favors Oklahoma St.; a claim that its offense or defense holds a specific personnel advantage would go further than the evidence allows.

Key matchup factors

The decisive question is which version of Central Florida's offense lasts longer. Its productive stretches at Houston suggest it can generate scoring chances. Its closing possessions show how quickly that production can disappear when drives stop yielding first downs.

Those outcomes came within one game. Treating the collapse as an inevitable repeat would overstate the case for Oklahoma St.; treating the early lead as proof of a strong underdog bet would overlook the finish.

The distinction between winning and covering is especially useful here. Oklahoma St. can justify its status as the likely winner while still leaving Central Florida inside a spread that requires a double-digit Cowboys victory.

Central Florida Golden Knights vs Oklahoma St. Cowboys spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Oklahoma St. -9.5 (-110) and Central Florida +9.5 (-110).

The projected 11-point margin puts Oklahoma St. only 1.5 points beyond the spread. That small difference is too fragile to make laying the points attractive in a low-confidence forecast. A modest improvement in Central Florida's late possessions could erase it.

Taking the Golden Knights also requires more conviction than their Houston finish warrants. Their passing production is a reason to respect the underdog, but it is not enough to make +9.5 the official play.

Central Florida Golden Knights vs Oklahoma St. Cowboys total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 51.5 (-115) and Under 51.5 (-105).

The projected score adds up to 51 points, only half a point below the total. That arithmetic alone is not an Under edge. Central Florida's productive passing and stalled closing drives offer competing clues, with little recent Oklahoma St. offensive context to help distinguish them.

The Under has the lower price at -105, while the Over costs -115. Neither price turns this uncertain scoring forecast into a worthwhile recommendation.

Central Florida Golden Knights vs Oklahoma St. Cowboys projected score

Game forecast: Oklahoma St. 31, Central Florida 20. Confidence: low. The Cowboys' favorite status and the Golden Knights' difficulty sustaining their Houston performance tip the prediction toward Oklahoma St.

The strongest counterargument is Central Florida's demonstrated ability to build a substantial lead through contributions from Jenkins, Derry and Watson. If the Golden Knights sustain that production, a closer finish is plausible. Oklahoma St. remains the projected winner; the spread and total are both Pass, and the single official SportsJaw wager is Pass.
