LSU Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats Predictions October 10, 2026

Game time: October 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET

Venue: Kroger Field — Lexington, KY

Article updated Oct 4, 8:46 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

LSU will beat Kentucky 31-24 in our forecast for Oct. 10, with its recent production through the air and on the ground providing the strongest reason to favor the Tigers. Kentucky’s comeback win at South Carolina keeps confidence low. Neither LSU’s offensive eruption nor Kentucky’s late execution creates a persuasive wager at the supplied prices, so the official betting recommendation is Pass.

LSU Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats prediction and best bet

LSU is the pick to win, but neither side of the 10.5-point spread earns a bet. The Tigers’ latest performance offers a concrete reason to favor their offense: they scored 63 points and generated 731 yards against McNeese on Oct. 3. Turning that performance into an expectation of another runaway would be a much bigger leap.

Kentucky’s comeback at South Carolina supplies the strongest counterargument to a comfortable LSU victory. Still, recovering from a large deficit once is not a dependable formula for covering the next week. The forecast favors LSU by seven; the official best-bet decision is Pass.

Odds, game time and how to watch

Game time: LSU visits Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, in college football action. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, equivalent to 6 p.m. CT.

Broadcast: ESPN.

Record: LSU improved to 4-1 with its Oct. 3 win over McNeese.

SportsJaw moneyline: LSU -365; Kentucky +285.

SportsJaw spread: LSU -10.5 (+100); Kentucky +10.5 (-122).

SportsJaw total: Over 53.5 (-113); Under 53.5 (-113).

LSU Tigers outlook

Sam Leavitt completed 18 of 23 passes for 176 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in LSU’s 63-14 victory over McNeese. Corey Barber Jr. caught seven passes, including two touchdowns. Those numbers show productive passing in that game, although the touchdown catches alone say nothing about where Barber lined up or where those scoring plays began.

Harlem Berry added 125 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, setting a career high in rushing yardage. His contribution gives the LSU forecast a second foundation beyond Leavitt’s passing. The Tigers demonstrated that both parts of their offense could contribute to a decisive result.

The limitation is the opponent-specific nature of that performance. One afternoon against McNeese is a useful sign of offensive potential, but it leaves substantial uncertainty about LSU’s scoring margin against Kentucky.

Kentucky Wildcats outlook

Kentucky beat South Carolina 35-34 in overtime on Oct. 3 after falling behind 17-0. The SEC identified the rally as the largest road comeback in program history. That achievement gives the Wildcats a meaningful recent success, while the early deficit remains a concern in projecting their next game.

A 29-yard field goal forced overtime. After South Carolina scored an overtime touchdown, Kentucky answered with a touchdown and won on Kenny Minchey’s two-point conversion pass to Willie Rodriguez. The finish offers a specific example of successful execution with the result at stake.

Kentucky’s outlook therefore contains two competing signals: a damaging start and a winning response. The response keeps an upset within the forecast’s range of possibilities, but expecting another major recovery would put too much weight on one exceptional finish.

Key matchup factors

The central question is how much of LSU’s offensive production carries into this matchup. Contributions from both the passing and running games make the Tigers the editorial choice, but there is no reason to transfer their previous yardage or scoring output directly into this projection.

Game flow matters for Kentucky. A closer opening would reduce its need for another dramatic rally. Conversely, an early LSU lead could force the Wildcats into another difficult chase. These are possible paths through the game, not established tendencies.

The recent final scores also need context. Kentucky’s result included overtime, and the teams faced different opponents. Simply comparing points scored would exaggerate the precision of both a spread pick and a total prediction.

LSU Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on LSU -10.5 (+100) and Kentucky +10.5 (-122). The projected seven-point margin falls on Kentucky’s side of the number, but a single score forecast is too narrow a basis for paying -122.

LSU’s offensive output makes a double-digit victory plausible. Kentucky’s comeback makes a competitive finish plausible. Neither recent result supplies a sufficiently dependable margin expectation to make either price attractive. Kentucky is the side consistent with the projected score, without becoming an official wager.

LSU Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 53.5 (-113) and Under 53.5 (-113). The projected 55 points sit slightly above the line, leaving very little separation between the forecast and the betting threshold.

There is an offensive case for the Over, especially after LSU’s latest outing. However, Kentucky’s overtime scoring and the different opponents make the two previous results a shaky guide to this total. The Under has no stronger case from these performances, so neither direction earns a recommendation.

LSU Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats projected score

Game forecast: LSU Tigers 31, Kentucky Wildcats 24. LSU’s recent passing and rushing production gives it the stronger case to win. Kentucky’s successful road comeback is the strongest counterargument and keeps this a low-confidence prediction.

The Tigers are the projected winner, while both betting markets remain a Pass. The seven-point margin and 55-point total describe the editorial forecast; they are not sufficient evidence of value at the supplied prices. Official SportsJaw betting lean: Pass.
