The Memphis Tigers play the Texas A&M Aggies at FedExForum on Saturday night in a crucial non-conference matchup. In the last five games, the Aggies have won four of them, including some against notable names. Having lost the last time out, Memphis will look to rebound in this one at home. There's no doubt this will be a back-and-forth affair, as these two teams met in a March Madness classic in 2007.
Rounding into form for the Aggies
The expectations for Texas A&M were high coming into the season, especially after the SEC Tournament and NIT. It certainly sets the tone to have a number of familiar faces back. A few losses around Thanksgiving have tempered expectations, and a 15-point loss to Boise State last week was also a surprise, but with four wins in their last five, they hope a road win against Memphis can help them get on the right path with SEC play right around the corner. After last year's disastrous finish to the season, Texas A&M won their only true road game this season.
As the Aggies hit the road for this one, Ethan Henderson (personal) remains out and Andersson Garcia (undisclosed) is questionable. Neither player has appeared in a game this season, so Garcia's inclusion could only be beneficial.
