Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns Prediction, Odds and Best Bet for November 7, 2026

Game time: November 7, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET

Venue: Mortgage Matchup Center — Phoenix, AZ

Article updated Nov 7, 12:46 AM EST

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Houston Rockets are projected to beat the Phoenix Suns 113-107, with their stronger recent scoring margin and extra rest providing the clearest reasons to favor them. Houston’s center availability adds uncertainty, and the narrow margins in other analysts’ forecasts leave little room at the supplied spread. Neither Phoenix +6.5 (-105) nor the 220.5-point total offers a compelling wager.

Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns prediction and best bet

Houston is the pick to win this November 7 matchup, but the official betting recommendation is Pass. Probetrics reports a plus-10.8 average margin for the Rockets over their last five games, compared with minus-4.2 for Phoenix. That recent separation, combined with Houston’s rest advantage, supports the outright forecast.

Other analysts favor Houston as well. Dimers assigns the Rockets a 68.7% win probability, Statz gives them 66%, and Sports Mole picks Houston by six or more points. Those are separate analytical views, not a collective guarantee. The two numerical projections suggest a close decision against the spread, rather than a persuasive betting advantage.

Houston Rockets outlook

Houston has gone 3-2 in its past five games, according to Probetrics. Its plus-10.8 average margin is more encouraging than that modest winning record alone, suggesting a stronger recent performance profile than Phoenix’s. Still, an average margin is not a prediction of how much Houston will win this particular game by.

The main personnel concern is at center. Probetrics lists Steven Adams and Clint Capela out. Statz’s preview instead describes Capela as day-to-day, so his availability remains a material uncertainty. The forecast should not depend on Capela playing or on Houston having its full center rotation.

Houston also enters with two days of rest. That gives the Rockets a useful scheduling advantage, although it cannot tell us how efficiently they will convert possessions or whether they will create enough separation to cover.

Phoenix Suns outlook

Phoenix’s recent results are weaker: Probetrics reports a 1-4 record and minus-4.2 average margin over its last five games. The Suns also have only one day of rest after four games in six nights. That combination makes them harder to select outright, even with the game in Phoenix.

Probetrics lists Mark Williams out, with Jordan Goodwin and Rasheer Fleming day-to-day. The clearest matchup concern is its report that Phoenix allows the third-most points to centers, 30% above league average. That is a vulnerability Houston could exploit, though the Rockets’ own center absences complicate the opportunity.

The Suns average 102.1 possessions per game, compared with Houston’s 100.5, according to Probetrics. Their faster pace offers a possible route to additional scoring opportunities, but more possessions alone do not guarantee better offense or a competitive final margin.

Key matchup factors

The central question is whether Houston can translate its stronger recent results into an interior advantage despite its personnel uncertainty. Phoenix’s weakness against centers matters, but assigning that entire opportunity to a particular player would stretch the evidence.

Phoenix has a potential counterpoint in Probetrics’ finding that Houston allows the seventh-most assists to forwards, 24% above league average. That suggests a possible creation opportunity for the Suns. It does not tell us how many of those opportunities will become points.

SportsJaw’s November 7 update at 00:05 UTC shows Phoenix +6.5 (-105) leading community spread selections at 54%. Qualified handicappers also favor that side at 54%. These are separate selection shares, not Phoenix’s probability of covering.

Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns spread prediction

Pass on Houston -6.5 (-115) and Phoenix +6.5 (-105). Dimers projects Houston 113, Phoenix 107, while Statz projects Houston 114.1, Phoenix 108.5. Both margins fall inside Phoenix’s cushion, but only by 0.5 and 0.9 points, respectively. Those small differences are too fragile to make the Suns an official wager.

Houston’s recent margin and rest advantage are the strongest reasons to consider laying the points. Its unsettled center rotation is a reason for restraint. Sports Mole’s Houston-by-six-or-more prediction also spans both a six-point non-cover and larger wins that would cover. Our six-point forecast favors Phoenix against the number in that scenario, but the spread recommendation remains Pass.

Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns total prediction

Pass on Over 220.5 (-110) and Under 220.5 (-110). Dimers projects 220 combined points, while Statz projects 222.6. Sports Mole takes a more bullish scoring view with an Over 227.5 selection. That is its published recommendation at a different line, not a replacement for SportsJaw’s 220.5.

SportsJaw community selections and qualified-handicapper selections each favor Over 220.5 (-110) at 57%. That preference is worth acknowledging, but neither percentage is a scoring forecast. The contrasting analyst projections and uncertain frontcourt availability leave too little separation to choose either direction confidently.

Houston Rockets vs Phoenix Suns Projected Score & Betting Picks

Projected score: Houston Rockets 113, Phoenix Suns 107. Houston’s recent performance and rest advantage carry the forecast. The strongest counterargument is its uncertain center depth, which could weaken its ability to exploit Phoenix’s interior vulnerability.

Confidence is medium in Houston winning, not in a spread or total edge. The projected margin is six points and the projected total is 220, both close to the supplied lines. The single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
