Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers Betting Picks & Predictions

Game time: November 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET

Venue: Gainbridge Fieldhouse — Indianapolis, IN

Article updated Nov 1, 12:27 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Indiana Pacers will beat the Brooklyn Nets, Pacers 116, Nets 113, with Pascal Siakam’s scoring and Indiana’s decisive first meeting providing the strongest matchup reasons. Tyrese Haliburton’s absence substantially weakens that advantage, while Brooklyn has its own personnel problems. Neither Brooklyn +4 (-110) nor the 230.5 total offers a convincing betting edge. The official recommendation is Pass, with low forecast confidence.

Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers prediction and best bet

Indiana gets the win forecast, but neither side earns a spread recommendation. The Pacers beat Brooklyn 136-109 on Oct. 25, with Siakam contributing 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists. His production gives Indiana a credible foundation for the rematch, even with Haliburton unavailable.

The first meeting also illustrates why laying Indiana -4 (-110) is uncomfortable. Haliburton supplied 24 points and 11 assists, and the Pacers shot 58% overall and a season-high 49% from three. Expecting that performance again would overlook a major absence. Brooklyn +4 (-110) has appeal, but the Nets’ missing guards and recent 94-point outing keep the underdog from becoming an official wager.

Brooklyn Nets outlook

Brooklyn enters after a 110-94 home loss to Detroit on Oct. 30. Those 94 points were its season low, a difficult starting point for backing the Nets even with four points. Their winless record matters, but the immediate concern is how much offense they can generate with two guards unavailable.

Julius Randle leads Brooklyn at 21.0 points per game, with Michael Porter Jr. close behind at 20.8. Their scoring gives the Nets a route to a competitive finish against a depleted opponent. It also places considerable importance on their production: a quiet game from either would make Brooklyn’s upset case harder to sustain.

Nets Wire reported Demin out with a right-leg bone bruise suffered during the overtime loss at Boston. Brown is out for back-injury management after averaging 10.3 points through his first four NBA games. Those absences weaken the argument that Brooklyn can simply capitalize on Indiana’s injuries.

The Nets’ best case is that Randle and Porter provide enough scoring to pressure Indiana throughout the game. That is plausible, but the Detroit result is meaningful counterevidence. Brooklyn needs a substantial offensive improvement before the four-point cushion becomes especially attractive.

Indiana Pacers outlook

Indiana’s first victory over Brooklyn was emphatic. After trailing through one quarter on Oct. 25, the Pacers won by 27 points. Siakam’s balanced contribution and Toppin’s 16 bench points supplemented Haliburton’s scoring and distribution. The result favors Indiana in the matchup assessment, although the personnel behind it require close attention.

Haliburton is out with a left hamstring strain. T.J. McConnell, who has not made his season debut, is out with a right hamstring strain, and Ivica Zubac is out with a left ankle sprain. Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy are also out following knee procedures. Toppin is questionable with lower-back soreness.

Siakam leads Indiana at 22.2 points per game. Nembhard averages 17.6 and is probable with neck soreness or stiffness, while Nesmith is probable with a left hamstring strain. Siakam and Nembhard provide the main scoring foundation for this forecast, with Nembhard’s designation still worth distinguishing from confirmed availability.

Indiana’s latest result shows both its scoring potential and its vulnerability. The Pacers lost 145-125 at Miami on Oct. 30, extending their skid to three games. They scored 42 first-quarter points but only 46 combined in the second and third quarters. Sustaining offense remains a concern.

Key matchup factors

The central question is how much weight to place on the first meeting after removing Haliburton’s contribution. Indiana retains Siakam, but 24 points and 11 assists represent a substantial part of that earlier performance. Brooklyn’s guard absences keep the personnel comparison from becoming a straightforward advantage for the visitor.

The SportsJaw consensus update at 04:20 UTC on Nov. 1 showed Indiana at 75% in the blended moneyline view. Brooklyn +4 (-110) led both community and qualified-handicapper spread selections at 60%. Those are different markets and measures of preference, not win probabilities. They are compatible with a close Indiana victory, but neither percentage settles whether four points is a favorable price.

Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Brooklyn +4 (-110) and Indiana -4 (-110). The projected three-point Indiana victory falls on Brooklyn’s side of the spread, but that one-point difference is too fragile to carry the betting decision.

Indiana’s injuries argue against expecting another comfortable win. Brooklyn’s 0-5 start, missing guards and season-low scoring performance argue against trusting the cushion. At -110, backing either side requires more conviction than this matchup warrants. The community’s Brooklyn preference adds context without overcoming those competing concerns.

Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 230.5 (-110) and Under 230.5 (-110). The forecast combines for 229 points, only 1.5 below the line. That modest difference is not a sufficient reason to bet the Under.

The first meeting produced 245 points, and Indiana just scored 125 while allowing 145 at Miami. Those results keep the Over plausible. Brooklyn’s 94 against Detroit and Haliburton’s absence pull the assessment lower. Without a clearer scoring pattern under these availability conditions, neither direction merits the official selection.

Brooklyn Nets vs Indiana Pacers Projected Score & Betting Picks

Game forecast: Pacers 116, Nets 113. Indiana’s previous success against Brooklyn and Siakam’s scoring support the winner selection. The projected margin is much narrower than the first meeting because Haliburton is out and Toppin’s status remains uncertain.

The strongest counterargument is Indiana’s three-game losing streak alongside its lengthy injury list. Randle and Porter give Brooklyn a plausible path to its first win, even after the disappointing Detroit performance. That possibility keeps confidence low. The forecast favors Indiana, while the betting decision remains Pass: neither Brooklyn +4 (-110), Indiana -4 (-110), nor either direction at 230.5 (-110) offers a sufficiently convincing edge.
