Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz Predictions Today

Game time: October 26, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET

Venue: Delta Center — Salt Lake City, UT

Article updated Oct 26, 8:06 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

Memphis will beat Utah 120-118, with its 3-0 start and 123-103 victory over the Jazz on Oct. 22 supplying the strongest matchup evidence. The forecast carries low confidence because Utah brings productive scorers into the rematch and player availability remains unsettled. Memphis +1.5 (-108) is tempting, but neither that spread nor the 238.5 total offers a strong enough edge. The official wager is Pass.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz prediction and best bet

Memphis gets the nod in this Oct. 26 matchup, but the earlier 20-point victory needs perspective. Ty Jerome scored 45 points in that game. That is a compelling individual result, yet expecting another performance of that size would make the rematch forecast too dependent on one night.

The Grizzlies have since beaten Golden State and Sacramento, giving their unbeaten start substance beyond the Utah result. The Jazz counter with recent production from Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George and Ace Bailey. Memphis is the winner pick; Pass is the best betting decision. A narrow projected margin, a three-game sample and unsettled availability leave too much uncertainty to turn that preference into an official wager.

Memphis Grizzlies outlook

Memphis has the stronger opening record and the only head-to-head result of this young season. Its 123-103 win over Utah on Oct. 22 featured Jerome’s 45 points. That gives the Grizzlies a concrete success to build on, although the size of his contribution makes the final margin a risky template for Monday.

The Oct. 25 victory at Sacramento offers a separate encouraging sign. Memphis won 123-112, while Cameron Boozer supplied 16 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes. His contribution extended beyond scoring, which matters in a rematch that could be considerably closer. If Edey remains out as AP reports, Boozer’s rebounding would become an especially useful part of Memphis’s response.

Jerami Grant’s Oct. 23 performance at Golden State supplies a caution. He scored six points on 2-for-9 shooting, including 1-for-7 from three, alongside three assists and two blocks in 26 minutes. Memphis still won, but another inefficient shooting night would make production elsewhere more important.

The Sacramento game also puts Memphis on consecutive playing days, with travel between games. That scheduling demand tempers enthusiasm for the unbeaten start. The Grizzlies have earned the forecast edge, without yet showing enough over a long stretch to justify strong confidence.

Utah Jazz outlook

Utah’s 1-2 record trails Memphis’s, but its recent individual performances give the Jazz a credible route to reversing the first meeting. Against the Lakers on Oct. 25, Markkanen scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 38 minutes. He made 9 of 20 field goals and 5 of 11 three-point attempts.

That perimeter shooting is the clearest offensive counterweight to Memphis’s early results. If Markkanen again converts at that level, the Grizzlies would have less room to absorb an uneven scoring night of their own. His 38-minute workload also deserves attention with another game immediately following.

George supplied 24 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists against Los Angeles, but committed six turnovers. His production illustrates both sides of Utah’s case: substantial scoring and creation, accompanied by possessions lost. Cleaner ball handling would help the Jazz make better use of their offense against Memphis.

Bailey added 17 points and 12 rebounds in that game. His rebounding is relevant if Nurkic misses the rematch, as AP reports. The same report identifies a foot injury for Nurkic, while the NBA’s morning update leaves his status unconfirmed. Utah has several recent individual performances worth respecting; those performances alone are insufficient to project a decisive turnaround from the earlier defeat.

Key matchup factors

The central question is how much weight to give the first meeting. Memphis won comfortably, but Jerome’s 45-point contribution argues for caution about carrying the full margin forward. Both teams played Oct. 25, so neither enters with a full day between games.

The consensus also points in different directions. At 11:46 a.m. UTC on Oct. 26, the combined consensus favored Memphis +100 on the moneyline at 68%, equivalent to 408 of 600 modeled selections. Utah -1.5 (-104) led the spread at 58%. These modeled counts are not observed sportsbook tickets, and the percentages are not win probabilities. They describe selection preferences, not an independent reason to expect a close finish or to fade either side.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz spread prediction

Spread recommendation: Pass on Memphis +1.5 (-108) and Utah -1.5 (-104). The Memphis forecast makes the points appealing, particularly after the first meeting. Still, a two-point projected win leaves the assessment sensitive to small changes in shooting, turnovers and availability.

Utah’s recent individual scoring offers meaningful resistance to the Memphis case. The 1.5-point cushion would cover a one-point Grizzlies loss, but it offers limited protection against a broader reversal. Memphis is the preferred team in the forecast; the evidence is too fragile to recommend purchasing that preference at -108.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz total prediction

Total recommendation: Pass on Over 238.5 (-110) and Under 238.5 (-110). The first meeting produced 226 combined points. Memphis’s 123-112 win at Sacramento produced 235. Neither result guarantees a similar scoring environment in this rematch.

Markkanen’s shooting and George’s scoring and assists give the Over a plausible path, while the earlier head-to-head result favors restraint. The total consensus is evenly divided at 50% each. Our 238-point projection sits only half a point below the line, an insignificant margin for a forecast with this much uncertainty. Neither direction merits the -110 price.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Utah Jazz projected score

Game forecast: Memphis Grizzlies 120, Utah Jazz 118. Memphis’s unbeaten start, direct win over Utah and subsequent Sacramento victory make it the selection. The projection anticipates a much tighter contest than the first meeting, without requiring Jerome to repeat his 45-point performance.

The strongest counterargument is Utah’s recent production from Markkanen, George and Bailey. Better possession security could turn that individual output into a winning rematch. Consecutive playing days and unresolved official availability add uncertainty for both teams. Confidence is low, but the winner remains Memphis. The spread and total are each a Pass, and Pass is the single official SportsJaw betting recommendation.
