Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat Predictions Today

Game time: October 26, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET

Venue: Kaseya Center — Miami, FL

Article updated Oct 26, 7:25 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Miami Heat will beat the Dallas Mavericks, with a projected score of Miami 121, Dallas 113. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s early scoring production against a Dallas team missing Dereck Lively II and Santi Aldama supplies the strongest matchup reason. Neither Miami -8.5 (-106) nor Under 236.5 (-108) offers a convincing betting edge, so the official recommendation is Pass.

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat prediction and best bet

Miami is the pick to secure its first victory of the 2026-27 NBA season. Antetokounmpo averaged 28.3 points through three games, and Dallas enters with several confirmed absences. His scoring gives the Heat the strongest foundation for this forecast, particularly with Lively and Aldama unavailable.

The best betting decision is Pass. Miami’s opponents have made 42 percent of their 3-point attempts, a weakness Dallas could exploit even with its injury problems. An eight-point projected victory also leaves Miami short of covering 8.5. The projected total of 234 points falls below 236.5, but that small cushion is vulnerable to Dallas shooting well or Miami’s struggling shooters improving.

Dallas Mavericks outlook

Dallas followed a 121-105 victory at Indiana on October 23 with a 122-106 home loss to San Antonio on October 24. Those consecutive results show how different its scoring outcomes have already been. Neither game alone is a reliable guide to what this lineup will produce in Miami.

The official Mavericks preview ruled out Naji Marshall with an illness, Lively following foot surgery, Aldama following knee surgery and Tarik Biberovic with a right-heel issue. Martin was doubtful with a right-thumb sprain. Flagg was questionable with a left-shoulder issue, while CBS described him as sidelined and reported that he would be re-evaluated during the week. His availability remains uncertain.

CBS expected Kyrie Irving to be available after he missed the San Antonio game following knee surgery. That expectation helps Dallas’ outlook, although it is not confirmation of his participation or workload.

There are encouraging contributions elsewhere. Marcus Sasser averaged 11.7 points and shot 57 percent from three through three games. Sergio de Larrea produced 21 points, five rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes against San Antonio. Those performances give Dallas plausible scoring options, but expecting them to offset every absence would place considerable weight on a very small sample.

Miami Heat outlook

Miami’s first three games offer reasons both to favor the Heat and to resist laying a large spread. Antetokounmpo averaged 35.5 points across the first two before scoring 14 in the October 24 loss at Charlotte. He played 25 minutes and fouled out with 1:57 remaining in that 115-110 defeat. A stronger contribution from him is central to the Miami forecast.

Davion Mitchell averaged 17.0 points while shooting 46.7 percent from three through three games. Bam Adebayo averaged 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. Their production gives Miami additional scoring options, although the team’s 0-3 record shows those contributions have yet to translate into a win.

Several other shooting figures are less encouraging. Andrew Wiggins was at 18.2 percent from three and Tim Hardaway Jr. at 17.6 percent. Adebayo shot 23.1 percent and Antetokounmpo 16.7 percent. Those early percentages make sustained scoring less certain, but three games are too few to treat the misses as a settled pattern.

The defensive concern is more immediate for this matchup: opponents made 42 percent from three, identified in Dallas’ preview as the league’s worst early mark. That creates an opening for Sasser and complicates any expectation of a comfortable Miami victory.

Key matchup factors

Availability weighs toward Miami; shooting uncertainty limits the strength of that advantage. Dallas must compensate for multiple absences, while the Heat need to turn Antetokounmpo’s production into a complete winning performance. An Irving appearance or a strong Dallas perimeter night could narrow the difference considerably.

The total consensus favors restraint on scoring, but it is not unanimous. As of October 26 at 11:16 a.m. UTC, the combined modeled consensus count was 345 Under selections and 261 Over selections, with a published 57 percent Under blend. These are modeled equivalent counts, not observed sportsbook tickets. Qualified handicappers favored Under at 80 percent. That preference is useful context, not an estimate of the wager’s probability.

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat spread prediction

Pass on Dallas Mavericks +8.5 (-106) and Miami Heat -8.5 (-106). The projected eight-point margin puts Dallas narrowly inside the spread, but a half-point difference from an editorial forecast is too fragile to justify a wager.

The blended consensus favors Dallas at 60 percent, up 10 percentage points toward Dallas from the October 25 snapshot. That is a change in consensus support, not a reported line move. Dallas’ injury uncertainty argues against backing the underdog confidently, while Miami’s perimeter defense makes laying 8.5 unattractive.

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat total prediction

Pass on Over 236.5 (-112) and Under 236.5 (-108). Dallas’ absences and Miami’s uneven shooting suggest a route below the total, consistent with the projected 234 points. The margin is only 2.5 points, however, and the scoring evidence cuts both ways.

Miami’s 42 percent opponent 3-point shooting and Sasser’s strong start are clear risks to an Under. Irving’s expected availability adds another variable. The Under consensus is worth acknowledging, but neither that preference nor the score projection supplies enough separation to make it the official wager.

Dallas Mavericks vs Miami Heat projected score

The forecast is Miami Heat 121, Dallas Mavericks 113, with low confidence. Antetokounmpo’s early scoring and Dallas’ confirmed absences tilt the result toward Miami. Mitchell’s production supplies another reason to expect the Heat to generate enough offense to win.

The strongest counterargument is Miami’s vulnerability from three, especially against a Dallas team receiving accurate early shooting from Sasser. Irving could also improve the Mavericks’ outlook if he plays effectively. Those possibilities keep the forecast cautious despite a decisive winner selection. Miami is the projected winner, both the spread and total recommendations are Pass, and the single official SportsJaw betting recommendation is Pass.
