Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions October 23, 2026

Game time: October 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET

Venue: Fiserv Forum — Milwaukee, WI

Article updated Oct 22, 7:53 AM EDT

By SportsJaw Editorial Team

The Milwaukee Bucks are projected to beat the Chicago Bulls 119-116, with Chicago’s 27 turnovers in its opener the strongest reason to favor Milwaukee. That is a low-confidence forecast: the Bucks also struggled defensively in their first game. Neither Milwaukee -1 (-107) nor the total of 238.5 offers a convincing betting edge, making Pass the official recommendation.

Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks prediction and best bet

Milwaukee is the pick to win, but the best betting decision is Pass. Chicago’s opening loss combined a 43-point deficit with a major ball-security problem. Milwaukee’s opener offered more competitive stretches, although its own defeat leaves little room for a strong endorsement.

The distinction matters at Milwaukee -1 (-107). A projected Bucks victory puts them on the preferred side of the number, but one game per team is a fragile foundation for declaring value. The forecast favors Milwaukee narrowly; the official wager remains Pass.

Chicago Bulls outlook

Chicago lost 135-92 at Toronto in its season opener, committing 27 turnovers against the Raptors’ 11. That 16-turnover difference is the clearest concern for the Bulls. Protecting possessions is an immediate route to improvement, without requiring any assumption about a sudden shooting turnaround.

Matas Buzelis led Chicago with 17 points, including 13 makes on 16 free throws. Rookie Caleb Wilson scored 16 in his NBA debut, while Jalen Smith and Norman Powell each added 15. Those contributions give Chicago individual performances to build on, although four double-figure scorers did not translate into a productive team result.

Nic Claxton missed the Toronto game with a hamstring issue, while Jordan Hawkins and Dailyn Swain were absent because of illness. Those are Oct. 21 absences, not confirmed availability designations for Milwaukee. Their status for this matchup remains uncertain.

Milwaukee Bucks outlook

Milwaukee lost its opener 128-116 at Washington after leading 56-51 at halftime. A 33-26 second quarter showed that the Bucks could put together a successful stretch, but they failed to carry that advantage through the second half.

Washington’s Anthony Davis finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds. His production is a warning about Milwaukee’s defensive performance, rather than proof that Chicago will reproduce the same matchup. The Bucks’ 116 points offer a more encouraging offensive starting point, but that output still came in a loss.

Milwaukee therefore gets only a modest preference. Its opener was more competitive than Chicago’s, yet there is no established defensive strength here that makes a rebound automatic.

Key matchup factors

The central question is how much Chicago improves its possession control. Repeating the Toronto turnover total would make the Bulls difficult to trust. A substantial reduction would weaken the strongest argument for Milwaukee, especially given the Bucks’ defensive difficulties.

SportsJaw sentiment separates the markets. Chicago +1 (-105) leads both member spread picks and qualified-handicapper spread picks at 67%. Meanwhile, the blended moneyline consensus favors Milwaukee -111 at 83% in the Oct. 22 update at 11:39 UTC. That percentage describes selection support, not Milwaukee’s probability of winning.

Those preferences can coexist: picking Milwaukee to win and taking Chicago with a point answer different questions. Neither consensus figure supplies an independent measure of how often the Bucks should cover.

Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks spread prediction

Pass on Milwaukee Bucks -1 (-107) and Chicago Bulls +1 (-105). The projected three-point Milwaukee win would cover the Bucks’ spread, but the margin is an editorial estimate, not evidence of a reliable betting advantage.

Chicago’s turnover problem favors Milwaukee in the forecast. The Bucks’ defensive performance and the opposing member and qualified-handicapper preferences keep that lean fragile. A one-point line makes the decision close; it does not remove the uncertainty surrounding both teams.

Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks total prediction

Pass on Over 238.5 (-110) and Under 238.5 (-110). Chicago’s opener produced 227 combined points, while Milwaukee’s produced 244. Those results fall on opposite sides of this total and offer competing signals.

SportsJaw member total picks favor Under 238.5 (-110) at 100%. That is community sentiment, not a certainty or a scoring model. The projected 235 points also sit below the line, but Chicago’s potential offensive improvement and Milwaukee’s defensive uncertainty make the Under too tentative for an official wager.

Chicago Bulls vs Milwaukee Bucks projected score

Game forecast: Milwaukee Bucks 119, Chicago Bulls 116. Confidence is low. Chicago’s ball-security problems give Milwaukee the slight edge, while the strongest counterargument is that the Bucks just conceded 128 points and may offer the Bulls room to recover offensively.

The forecast anticipates a closer contest than either team’s opener. Milwaukee is the projected winner, with both the spread and total rated Pass. The single official SportsJaw betting lean is Pass.
