The Jazz have won three in a row, albeit against lesser opponents against which they were favored by at least 9 points and this is the first time Utah has been an underdog in its last nine games, but they are underdogs for a reason. Boston has been great against the spread, going 8-1-1 in its last 10 outings, so I'm riding the hot hand with the Celtics tonight to keep it rolling on their home court.
Love Brooklyn tonight. They’re 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a loss and 7-1 ATS in their last eight Friday games. Not only will the Spurs be missing Aldridge (18.8 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game), but they’re 0-5 ATS in their last five games.
you’ll never win at betting . this all fixed . you win here and there but in the long run the book always wins . you think it makes sense that iowa loses when they beat drake by 30 last week ? vegas has everybody in a trap today with thatt game and just made millions . super fixed . northern iowa team and school and drake got paid big thanks to every bettor. once too much money goes on one side then the other side is going to win . everything is fixed open your eyes
Something has to give. In their last meeting, Weber State went into Idaho State and escaped with an eight point victory. That was during Idaho State’s losing streak, and they still have not stopped the bleeding. But Idaho State did play both Montana and Montana St. closer games then Weber St and both teams averaging exactly 69 PPG. Not in love with this game, but will taking the points here.
Based on the lopsided possession metrics, I'm doubling down on the Capitals (-1.5, +180). The Caps are 31-30 against the spread overall but just 10-20 on home ice, while the Pens are 28-32 ATS overall and 14-14 on the road. Seven of Washington’s last eight wins came by margins of at least 2 goals. Pittsburgh lost its last two games by an aggregate count of 9-2. Predictions: Capitals 5, Penguins 3
The fact that Rob Manfred hasn’t punished the players involved — or said that he’s at least planning on it — is one of the most indefensible sports commissioner moments ever. Since 1994 baseball has been steadfastly destroying itself.
Astros cheating was an open secret in MLB for years - The Washington Post“Everybody knew itâ€: Suspicions about the Astros went back years in MLB circles. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/mlb/astros-cheating-open-secret/2020/02/11/1830154c-4c41-11ea-9b5c-eac5b16dafaa_story.html
What a shitty slate of college games today. When there's only catfish on the menu you've got to eat catfish.
Both of these teams can light up the scoreboard, especially Buffalo who has the 17th best scoring offense in the entire country averaging 79 PPG. Bowling Green should be able to keep pace as their last 3 road games they have also scored 80+ points in each contest.
Iowa is a difficult team to bet against here for me. Luka Garza has the ability to take a game over and Iowa did win the first match-up between the two 67-49. I most definitely dont expect that outcome at Maryland (Maryland 11-0 at home), but giving Iowa +5.5 just because theyre on the road is too much. No doubt from me that this will be a close game if Iowa wins or loses. And if its not, then Id imagine Iowa would actually be the team that makes it that way.
Hofstra is starting to play a little better on defense here lately.. Giving up 73 points or fewer in each of the teams last 5 games. These two met up at the beginning of 2020 and Hofstra put up over 100 points on this Elon team and won by 27. Though I dont see the same offensive output here I do see Hofstra winning this game convincingly again but this time on the road.. Ill take the road favorite and give the points with Hofstra!
Hofstra won this matchup by 27 on their home court at the beginning of January. Elon hasn't gotten any better since that first meeting and they will struggle in this one like they did the last. I'm surprised this line is so low but its alright with me
Look past Butler’s last two losses and let's get on the Bulldogs. Defense travels, and the Butler defense has held opponents to a 35% field-goal percentage in three of the team’s last five games. Vegas putting too much emphasis on Butler's last 2 games. Getting +3.5 is the value here and ML worth a look.
Dallas only -22 at home here today without Embiid in the lineup for Philly? Dallas won 117-98 in Philadelphia on December 20 and Mavs didn't have Doncic for that game and Philly did have Embiid for that game. Roles are reversed this time as Mavs have Doncic and Philly is w/o Embiid. I think this line should be Dallas -5 or -6. Let's get heavy.
Earlier matchups this season the Lakers won 112-107 at home and then 130-127 three nights later in Oklahoma City, but didn’t cover in either contest. Oklahoma City has been red-hot during an impressive 11-2 recent run. Give me the Thunder and the free point at home.
New Orleans is playing the second of a back-to-back and I don’t believe the Pelicans will have a chance against the Celtics, who are desperate to avoid the fourth straight defeat. The Celtics won four of the last five H2H duels at TD Garden, and without Jrue Holiday in the lineup, I expect Kemba Walker to dominate the game and Alvin Gentry might opt to rest Brandon Ingram, given that is the second of b2b for the Pelicans. All things considered, Boston is the superior team in this one.
I'm making a play on the Northern Kentucky Norse - the pts. I have no clue whos betting this down from the opening number but they obviously haven't been to Wisconsin to watch UW Milwaukee play. They just aren't very good and losers of 5 straight. They have also lost all 3 true road games. The Panthers are shooting a dismal 40% from the floor which puts them toward the bottom of the country at 311th out of 350 teams. Lets get to the Norse now. They have won 3 of 4 and are 5-1 on their home floor. Dantez Walton and Tyler Sharpe are a terrific 1-2 combo and have been shooting the lights out (18ppg and 16ppg). The Norse are extremely good at guarding the perimeter and rank 13th in the country in 3pt FG defense. This will only go up since UW Mil cant shoot a basketball into an ocean from deep. On offense they shoot 46% good for 96th overall. Finally the Norse are 6-0 in the last 6 matchups. Make it 7-0 after tomm with a convincing win shaking off the rust from the last game
