Duke has dropped their last 3 games and now 11-11 on the season and only 7-15 ATS. BC only a 4 win team but they have been competitive of late and just knocked off Notre Dame. I just don't think Duke deserves to be 12.5 point favorites over anybody. Give me BC here.
The OVER 152 is worth a look. Duke ranks 237th nationally in defensive efficiency and Boston College ranks 313th out of 347 teams in that category. We should see some points in this game.
This is the one pick today that seems like I’m going against the line/books. I see that wake forest bettors are effectively lowering the number on the spread, and wake forest moneyline doesn’t seem to be too much of a trap either. The problem is that wake forest has an offense that can get very cold, and played against a notre dame tournament defense, it’ll be very tough to get 60 points. While the fighting Irish have a terrific offense and great 3 point shooters like cormac Ryan, they can spread a lead out very early, I think they find a way to cover here or wake Forest is getting too many points
Florida State is in real danger of having their 23-game home win streak vs. ACC broken in tonight's matchup with #9 Virginia.
The Gators are a really good team, especially at home, but Virginia is statistically better, according to KenPom. Not by much but they aren't favored here; they are getting points so it's like icing on the cake.
Usually, I would pass because it could be a very close game but the home team has probably not shaken off all the effects of the covid and quarantine. It took them OT to beat (but not cover against) a pretty weak Wake Forest team. Remember, Wake Forest had only eked out a 4 point win against Boston College the game before that. B.C. still only had 6 scholarship players available in their second game back after quarantining for covid protocols.
Fla St. is probably close to being back and that would be good enough against a lot of teams but right now Virginia is firing on all cyclinders.
Large spread here but Tulane just has no offense. They may stick around first half but I think Wichita will find a way to cover and score. Tulane is coming off a blowout win also against temple, And I feel it’s time for them to get beat up on the road by Wichita. Hoping for a late surge for a cover.
Florida has been surprisingly recently and I expect it to keep going, right after they take a break and get DESTROYED by WVU. West Virginia has tough competition but they wanna be talked about. West Virginia by 10
I never know which TCU team will show up. I know they are not great, and if anything they can be scrappy in defense but I do not think they will be able to hold down Mizz at home. I see a late cover but I’m focused more on the under. TCU not explosive and not super efficient. Mizz may struggle in the beginning with TCU scrappiness, but in the end I see the edge with Mizz.
Garza against Cockburn will be fun to watch assuming both of them are playing. Both teams will get second chances to score as rebounding will be a fight to the ball I think. If Illinois play their BEST ball I think they can win/cover. Iowa is a 80 point or better team in most games, which almost makes me wanna do a prop team total over 80 (at my place). Iowa has scored 80 plus a decent amount of times so far, and I think they can do it against Illi. I do not like team props, etc, but I might play a little with that and then maybe also the over for game. Who knows what will happen but I will hope for points and second chance scoring. Rooting for both sides is always fun.
NColo is the better team. NArizona been playing better as of late, but I still do not trust them enough to play as a dog. Even if N colo struggle a little, I feel they can still cover in the end. Both teams focus on their defense, as I can see N Colorado with a slightly better scoring ability. I am also taking the under
MSU had a few players with covid issues but I believe they were announced cleared to play, etc. MSU playing good ball lately, as they started the season off slow. Rutgers are a stubborn team and I think they can cover but it will not be easy. This one will go down to the last 5 minutes I think and MSU will battle. I don’t like Rutgers on some stats compared to MSU as I think free throws and turnovers will be key towards end of game (they always are). MSU lost by one to Purdue last game, and that must have been annoying. Hopefully Spartans are pissed and ready!
Everytime I pick USC they fail. Oregon St is not suppose to be much, but I think Trojans will do damage. Staying away from spread and actually taking the over. Will be close but spread is just a few too many for me and the Trojans. Just don’t trust in my opinion.
Gotta go with the elite defense here. Texas. Yes their coach is out but who cares the kids know how to play. OU is solid but I feel like they are too “guard happy.†They can run and score but once Texas figures them out mid game I think it will be Texas to cover. Hopefully! I think Texas goes deep this year
KenPom thinks the Crimson Tide rolls by 9 today but c'mon, they host Kentucky so I think 20 or 30 point blowout.
Alabama sits atop the SEC leaderboard with a perfect 8-0 record (13-3 overall) while KY is middle of the pack at 4-3 conference, 5-9 overall records. Bama riding 9-game win streak where KY won one.
Look at the big names Alabama has beaten so far:
Arkansas, by 31 LSU, by 30 Florida, by 15 Tennessee, by 8 and...wait for it....wait for it...
They beat Kentucky in the Rupp Arena by 20 at the beginning of December! Finally, have you watched them play lately? KY doesn't seem to have the talent you'd expect from a Calipari team and they are struggling against the top teams in D1. It's kind of sad, really.
So, landlord, here's where I get caught up on the back rent by betting the bank on Bama and getting healthy (or homeless)!!!!
Opposite styles of ball clashing. Slow pace and defense vs fast pace and 3 point shooting. Mizz should defend the 3 ball well as they cannot generate big scoring games for themselves. I like the under and Auburn
I hate both of these teams. Miss St has a few good wins but I do not think they can handle Tenn. I feel Tenn will let their Defense shine at home (I know home court don’t matter really..).. I actually might go to the under. I really think this might be a 10-13 point victory for the Vols but idk I see a very low scoring half and game. BOL to all!
