The Portland Trail Blazers, a professional basketball team hailing from Portland, Oregon, proudly compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as part of the Western Conference's Northwest Division. After starting out their home games at the Memorial Coliseum, the Blazers made the transition to the Moda Center in 1995. Since their induction into the league in 1970 as an expansion team, the franchise has garnered an impressive following, boasting 814 consecutive sold-out home games from 1977 to 1995. This remarkable achievement was the longest streak in American major professional sports until it was surpassed by the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Mavericks. Notably, the Trail Blazers are currently the sole NBA team rooted in the Pacific Northwest, with the Vancouver Grizzlies relocating to Memphis in 2001 and becoming the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Seattle SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 and transformed into the Oklahoma City Thunder.
