I actually like the Avs at home in this game. The Blackhawks have lost their last two games, while the Avs come in having won their last three games in a row and they have outscored their foes by a 9-2 count in those games. The Blackhawks have gone just 16-20 on the road and the Avs are 4-1 in their last 5 games as a home favorite. I will look for Colorado to keep rolling in this one.

Fansided: 5 Thoughts: Chicago Blackhawks lose 3-1 to the Colorado Avalanche
After two lethargic starts for two losses, the 'Hawks came out with energy to open the game against the Colorado Avalanche. However, Brandon Saad had a little too much energy and committed a penalty just 1:10 into the game.
Obviously, this is not the right way to start any game, let alone a game where you're playing for your playoff qualification life. The great pace by both sides was entertaining, but this was a game that mattered, and the Chicago Blackhawks failed to get a quick lead in a stadium where the rare air will wear you down.
Mile High Hockey: Colorado Avalanche get a team win in beating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2
A lot of speculation was made around NHL circles about how the Colorado Avalanche would handle losing captain Gabriel Landeskog for the remainder of the season -- and so far it's turned out well.
The Avs will need to prove themselves even more coming up, with Mikko Rantanen out for at least the next game. But for now, Colorado put together a full team effort in besting the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 Saturday afternoon for their fourth straight win -- and in the process jumped both the Arizona Coyotes and the Minnesota Wild to snag the last Wild Card position.
Second City Hockey: Blackhawks stumble to 4-2 loss against Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche stretched the Chicago Blackhawks losing streak to three games with a 4-2 win Saturday at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
Philipp Grubauer continued his stellar play and stopped 29 of 31 shots.
How it Happened
From the drop of the puck, the Blackhawks and Avalanche played at an impressive pace with tons of action at both ends of the ice.
In the first shift of the game, Brandon Saad took a tripping call after an icing. On the resulting penalty kill, Corey Crawford stoned Nathan MacKinnon twice and kept the game tied early on.

CSN Chicago: 'It can go one of two ways': Blackhawks mindset going into home-and-home series with Avalanche
The last time the Blackhawks and Avalanche met, it was viewed as the most important regular season game to date for the Blackhawks because it was a chance to finally pull inside the playoff picture and push the Avalanche out of it. That was Feb. 22.
Fast forward one month and the Blackhawks are approaching a home-and-home weekend series with the Avalanche, who are currently sitting in the second wildcard spot with 78 points. The Blackhawks are at 74 with a game in hand. They have an opportunity to make things real interesting with exactly two weeks left in the season.
