Eagles have looked better of late, but hard to trust this Philadelphia team right now. Cowboys look like a much more complete squad. The Dallas defense should cause major issues for Philadelphias up-and-down offense.
    PICK: Cowboys 27, Eagles 20

Bleeding Green Nation: Corey Clement, Sidney Jones get hurt in Eagles vs. Cowboys game

    NFL

[UPDATE, 5:35 PM]: At least one Eagle won't be returning, Clement was seen in street clothes shortly before the end of the first half. He's done for the day.

Near the end of the first quarter against the Cowboys, Eagles running back Corey Clement saved an errant snap that bounced off Carson Wentz's fingertips, but as Clement was being tackled, his body twisted with his right leg was stuck under La'el Collins. The rusher was writhing in pain on the field while holding his right knee after the play, and went into the medical tent on the sideline before heading back into the locker room.

Games like the upcoming one between the Cowboys and the Eagles are the reason that we go through all that long offseason and why we invest so much of our time and energy into our team. It's so we can have moments like Sunday, when a division rival arrives late in the season with the NFC East crown hanging in the balance. If the Cowboys win, it's almost certain they will win the East and make the playoffs. If they fail, all bets are off and it's a sprint to the finish between Dallas and Philadelphia.

Screw it. I'll keep this one simple.

The Philadelphia Eagles are going to beat the Dallas Cowboys.

Doug Pederson is better head coach than Jason Garrett.

The Eagles are 6-2 at AT&T Stadium since 2010.

The Eagles haven't been swept by the Cowboys since 2012.

The Eagles need this game more.

Blogging The Boys: Cowboys vs. Eagles: Previewing the Eagles defense

    NFL

The 2017 Philadelphia Eagles seemed to have it all: a quarterback in MVP form, a whole host of deadly running backs, a great offensive line, and a defense that looked impenetrable. A year later, and pretty much all of that has changed, but none more so than the defense.

After acquiring Haloti Ngata and Daryl Worley in free agency and drafting Avonte Maddox and Josh Sweat in the draft, it seemed as if this stacked defense was getting even better, and that defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's only challenge would be finding reps for everyone.

It won't be easy. Nothing is for this year's Eagles team. But beating the Cowboys isn't some impossible task, either.

The Cowboys are red hot after beating the Saints. It's true. But they're not THAT far removed from being a 3-5 team that looked on the way to having another lost season.

Dallas Morning News: 3 key matchups for Cowboys-Eagles: Amari Cooper could be in for a big day vs. depleted Philadelphia secondary

    NFL

Here are three matchups to follow when the Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

    Eagles DBs vs. Amari Cooper

Amari Cooper had six catches for a team-high 75 yards against the Eagles in his second game after being traded to the Cowboys. He could be an even bigger factor this time around against Philadelphia's injury-depleted secondary.

Eagles offensive coordinator Mike Groh was Cooper's wide receivers coach during his freshman year at Alabama.

"He just has unique, I think, speed, quickness, and acceleration for the position," Groh said. "He can stick his foot in the ground and change direction and accelerate as fast away from anybody as I've ever seen.

Fansided: Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players that are key to a Week 14 victory over the Cowboys

Last year around this time, the Philadelphia Eagles were just about to take the NFC East crown. This time around, they are fighting for their playoff hopes to stay alive each and every week. This week, the Eagles will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys for the second time this season.

Since the Birds already took a devastating loss to the Cowboys at home a few weeks back, they need to make sure that they can come in and win on the road in a very critical matchup.

For the first time this season, the Eagles are on a two-game win streak.

Fansided: Cowboys vs. Eagles: Game time, stream, channel, and more

By all accounts, the Dallas Cowboys have saved their season. After losing five of their first eight games to start the year, the Cowboys have managed to rattle off four-straight wins. And they were able to do so against quality opponents like the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.

With only four games to go and a very favorable schedule ahead, Dallas is in the driver's seat of the NFC East and appear to be playoff bound. Only one team stands in their way, and that's the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys previously defeated the reigning Super Bowl champions in their own stadium back in Week 10 by the score of 27-20.

Bleeding Green Nation: Eagles vs. Cowboys Final Injury Report: Two players out, three questionable

    NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles ruled two players out for Sunday's NFC East matchup: starting linebacker Jordan Hicks and and starting cornerback Jalen Mills. Neither player participated in practice this week.

With Hicks out, it'll be Nigel Bradham starting at middle linebacker once again. Kamu Grugier-Hill and Nathan Gerry will also see playing time.

Mills' absence means Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas will start at outside corner with Cre'Von LeBlanc likely lining up against Cole Beasley in the slot.

    NFL

It seems like only yesterday that the Dallas Cowboys season was on the brink of collapse as they were sitting with a 3-5 record and facing the defending champions, Philadelphia Eagles. Oh, what a difference a month makes.
Fast forward to now and the Cowboys are enjoying a four-game winning streak. They've come away with big road wins in Philadelphia and Atlanta followed by two home wins against Washington and New Orleans. The Eagles on the other hand went through a two-game skid, losing to Dallas and then a 48-7 thumping in New Orleans, but they've since won two straight after beating divisional foes New York and then Washington on Monday night.

Bleeding Green Nation: Eagles need signature performance from Carson Wentz against Cowboys

    NFL

Sunday's Eagles versus Cowboys matchup is the biggest game of Carson Wentz's career.

Philadelphia really needs a signature performance from their third-year quarterback as they try to take over as the first place team in the NFC East.

It won't be easy for Wentz. The Cowboys' defense is really tough. We just saw Dallas shut down MVP candidate Drew Brees.

Still, the expectations are high, and they should be. We've seen that Wentz has the potential to be a special player. We just saw some examples of that from his performance against Washington on Monday night.

Blogging The Boys: Josh Adams seems to be emerging as the Eagles lead back. Talk about what he is bringing to the offense and the return Darren Sproles.

Bleeding Green Nation: The Eagles haven't had a true "lead back" in quite some time. To illustrate this point, I'll note that Adams just became the first Eagles running back to have 20+ carries in consecutive games since DeMarco Murray in the 2015 season.
