No Odell Beckham Jr. and Mark Sanchez under center going against the 8th best defense in the NFL? Hard to imagine a lot of points in this game.

The New York Giants have found the formula to victories over the last month, but it's too little too late. If only some of those close games went in favor of the Giants earlier in the season, they would be thinking playoffs right now. The Redskins being favored against the Giants when McCoy was starting was laughable. Mark Sanchez? No. Sanchez hasn't started a game in three years and looked lost Monday night where he struggled to complete even the simple passes. Even with all of the issues the Giants have, they should win this game on the road simply due to facing a third string quarterback. ...

    My Pick: New York -3

Is anyone else surprised New York Giants only -3.5? They are decimated with injuries and Mark Sanchez has been with them less than 3 weeks and looked like shit last week against the Eagles. Further, the Giants are playing their best ball of the year right now. IMO Giants -3.5 looks like the bet of the month. BOM!

I agree. Fading the Redskins have cost me a lot of money, but you would have to assume losing Colt McCoy was the coup de gras.

Odell Beckham Jr was ruled out tomorrow against the Redskins. That sucks but I think Shepard and Barkley will still do enough on offense. Mark Sanchez looked really unstable last week against Philadelphia...maybe an extra week will help but I doubt it.

    NFL

Then he saw the cutback lane.

    And he was gone.

The rookie has hurdled men standing almost straight up this season. He has broken ankles with his cuts. He has stiff-armed defenders into submission.

And Sunday, he displayed his pure speed.

He cut left near the line of scrimmage and sprinted untouched for 78 yards to score his franchise rookie record 13th touchdown. It set the tone in a 40-16 demolition of Washington at FedEx Field.

Barkley rushed for 170 yards on just 14 carries -- he didn't play in the fourth quarter -- in leading the Giants (5-8) to their best performance of the season and their fourth win in five games.

Hogs Haven: Redskins embarrass themselves, fall to the Giants 40-16

    NFL

That game took a year off of my life, and I wasn't even expecting a win. The Redskins have given up on the season after starting the year 6-3 and in 1st place in the NFC East. It's over, and no one is even trying to pretend that they are trying anymore. Josh Johnson was the highlight of the game which tells you all you need to know.

Another long run by Barkley here. Pernell McPhee gets shoved inside by the TE on the edge, forcing Swearinger to try and scrape to secure the edge.

    New York Giants
(64% consensus). Mark Sanchez has become the butt of jokes for his role in an infamous play over six years ago, but the 32-year-old is serious about changing the narrative on both his career as well as the Washington Redskins' season. Sanchez will make his first start since the 2015 campaign and become the third Redskins' quarterback to play in the last month when the team hosts the New York Giants on Sunday... http://bit.ly/2B800IM

Fansided: Redskins vs. Giants, part two: 5 Keys to Victory in Week 14

Coming off another crushing loss, this time on Monday night to their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Redskins return to FedEx Field with their playoff hopes appearing to have been crushed.

For a second time in as many weeks, the Redskins watched their starting quarterback go down with a broken leg, as Colt McCoy appears to be done for the season. On top of the injuries, the defense had another forgetful outing. They now find themselves on the outside looking in.

After beating the New York Giants at the Meadowlands 20-13 and moving to 5-2 on the season, the Washington Redskins appeared to be in the midst of a potentially magical season.

NY Post: Mark Sanchez effect completely changes Giants-Redskins

    NFL

    Modal Trigger

Though the schedule says the Giants are visiting the Redskins on Sunday afternoon (Fox, 1 p.m.), betting markets are suggesting the G-Men are really on the road against an expansion team.

Mark Sanchez is the starting quarterback? Not for a team that matters.

The Giants will likely close just above a field-goal favorite Sunday at kickoff. Let's assume a line of -3 1/u2082, which would be -6 1/u2082 on a neutral field ... or 9 1/u2082 at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants have been priced well below "playoff caliber" all season, with two of their recent wins coming against other also-rans, and the other coming at home against a backup quarterback.

After losing both Alex Smith and Colt McCoy to season-ending injuries, it's officially Mark Sanchez time in Washington. The 6-6 SU Redskins are still alive in the NFC playoff race, but a loss to the New York Giants in Week 14 at FedExField could go a long way to erasing those postseason aspirations.
