Titans have gone under in 6 of their last 7 games. 37.5 isn't much but let's do it.

    My Pick: Under 37.5

Kessler only threw for 150 yards against the Colts and won't have it any easier against the Titans. Mariota has been up and down but he's got dept and has had some good comebacks. He just needs to watch the sacks and get the ball out of his hands quicker. I'm calling Titans by a touchdown.

    My Pick: Tennessee -5.5

These low-scoring games are my type of games. I will definitely be watching from the start. Another good bet for this one for those interested, is going UNDER for the 1st quarter.

I'm going with Jaguars +5 here and I'm glad it's +5 not +3. Jacksonville gets Fournette back for this one and I think having a backup QB once again will help the offense. Mariota is coming off an injury so I'm not too confident on going with Titans. This should be a fun defensive game.

How about this anti-logic. 2 great defenses with poor offense. Both teams know and will have studied defense really well and the game will end with a score well over 40.

    My Pick: Over 37.5

Might be worth looking at having Marcus Mariota over 211 passing yards. -Downside he just recoved from injury and is up against a descent def. -upside he has been covering those yards almost every week and was full practice this week.

Score Prediction: TITANS 17, JAGUARS 10

I dont know what to make of this Jaguars team and they should get a boost on offense with Leonard Fournette back in the line up tonight. Unfortunately, the Jaguars cant spend a few more days basking in the glory of their 6-0 victory against Indianapolis, their first win in two months. At the end of the day, I think the Titans have too much to play for to lose at home to this rag-tag bunch. I like Tennessee in a low scoring game.

    My Pick: Under 37.5

Jacksonville going to be missing 1 starter from the offensive line and 2 starters on defense but they do get back Fournette tonight. Two good defenses, maybe the UNDER 38 is the play. :)

Music City Miracles: Derrick Henry runs wild as the Titans drill the Jaguars, 30-9

    NFL

The Tennessee Titans took care of business from start to finish tonight, beating the Jaguars to stay alive in the playoff picture. Jacksonville looked totally uninterested in this one tonight and Derrick Henry made them pay. Here's how it played out.

    Titans open with a touchdown

Just the opposite of last week, the Titans started this week with a bang. A screen pass to Dion Lewis was the big play on the first drive, putting the Titans in position to score on their first possession. A couple of Derrick Henry runs later, they did just that.

Big Cat Country: Jaguars vs. Titans inactive players: Barry Church is a healthy scratch, Ronnie Harrison starts (again)

    NFL

The Jacksonville Jaguars have ruled seven inactive players against Tennessee Titans including strong safety Barry Church and offensive lineman Josh Walker.

    WR D.J. Chark Jr. (quadriceps)

    RB Dave Williams

Church being inactive is a huge shock. I did not expect him to start -- what with third round rookie Ronnie Harrison doing very well in his stead -- but to be a healthy scratch is pretty damning. I don't expect him to be back next season and neither should you.

Jones has been hurt all week but it's still a bummer he's out.

Fansided: Predictions: The Jaguars face the Titans

You could tell this week there was a sense of relief amongst the players in the Jacksonville Jaguars locker room. The seven-game losing streak was over. Not only was the win over the Indianapolis Colts big for the team's confidence, but it was also a shutout of a division rival. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.

The defense was as dominant as it was last season.

"It was arguably the unit's best performance since the 2017 season began, considering who it came against and the situation surrounding the game, but it likely is too late to turn around a disappointing season," writes Michael DiRocco of ESPN.

Fansided: Three Titans to Watch: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans

For the first time in a long while, the Jacksonville Jaguars go into a game with some momentum behind them. Having finally won after losing seven straight, the Jaguars new offensive play-caller Scott Milanovich (and replacement quarterback Cody Kessler) can enjoy the luxury of a returning Leonard Fournette to help balance things on offense.

On the other side of the ball, the Jaguars defense are looking to keep the same intensity coming into this week after the re-emerging of the vaunted 'Sacksonville' defense which has now shutout the Colts in consecutive seasons.

Fansided: Jaguars face the Titans: Three bold predictions

The formula is simple. Beat the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars will have done something they have not accomplished since the first two weeks of the NFL season. They will have won back to back football games.

As hard as that seems, it just magnifies how awful this season has been for the Black and Teal and how simple things create hope for a strong finish to 2018. This is a team that could easily be 8-4, even with major injuries on the offensive side of the ball, had they been able to play better offense and move the football.

Week 14 in the NFL brings with it the Thursday Night Football matchup that absolutely no one asked for, as the 4-8 Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Tennessee to take on the 6-6 Titans at Nissan Stadium. The Titans remain very much in the mix in the AFC playoff race, while it's likely too little, too late for the disappointing Jaguars. Sportsbooks opened the Titans as 4.5-point home favorites with a total of 37.5. Original matchup: http://bit.ly/2E97AVw

Music City Miracles: Titans vs. Jaguars final injury report

    NFL

The Titans head into this game with the Jaguars relatively healthy. Dane Cruikshank (Cruikshank might have had a knee procedure per Terry McCormick) and David Fluellen have both been ruled out. They have been out for a few weeks now, so it is no surprise that they won't be ready for a game on a short week.

Derrick Morgan and Darius Jennings are both listed as questionable with knee injuries after being listed as limited in practice today. I have said that it is time for Morgan to take a couple of steps backwards on the depth chart.
