The Redskins offense ranks towards the bottom of the league this season and they average 20 points or less a game to prove it. It's the Redskins defense that keeps them in games, minus the Falcons game last week. The Bucs offense continues to excel. They are averaging 447 total yards per game. It's their defense that has been a thorn in the side of the Buccaneers this season. They are particularly bad defending the pass. Tampa Bay is averaging 28.6 points, good for seventh in the NFL but they are giving up 34.4 points per game, good enough for last in the NFL. Washington will run the ball a lot today, and Tampa Bay has a solid rush defense. The Buccaneers should do enough to contain their offense and come away with the home win. Tampa Bay covers -3 today.

Got to like the Bucs here today. Feels like a good day for a 3 teamer: TAMPA BAY -3, ATLANTA -6 and DALLAS +7.5. Lock Em' Up!

And to add insult to injury, James Crowder is out today for the Redskins as well. Back up the truck, Tampa Bay is free money today.

I'm surprised this line is only -3. This Washington team is so beaten up with injuries they might have to start a 3rd string tight end on the defensive line this week. They lost two more players last week in the Atlanta game and we saw what Atlanta did to this decimated team last week. As bad as Tampa Bay is I think the Bucs are moving in the right direction by benching Winston and I believe Fitzmagic returns at home against this skeleton crew of a Redskins team. Love Tampa Bay -3 this week. Book it.

Brandon Scherff was injured last week against ATL and done for the season and WR WR Paul Richardson also out. Don't care who they pick up on the free market, no way they can have a cohesive offensive unit. Bucs -3 #freemoney

Fansided: Redskins vs. Buccaneers: Storylines, how to watch, and more

At the halfway point of the 2018 regular season, the Washington Redskins are 5-3, still at the top of the NFC East standings.

If the season ended today, Washington would be in the playoffs. But the team can't be content with temporary success, even in the face of adversity. Jay Gruden has an opportunity today to withstand the circumstances and coach his team to a tide-changing victory. If he fails to do so, the implications could be drastic.

The last time Jay Gruden's job was in dire question, he was able to achieve a momentum-shifting win.

Fansided: Buccaneers vs. Redskins Takeaways: 501 yards, 3 points

It was a brutal loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. Take a glance at the stat sheet, and it would appear that the Bucs should have come out on top.

That wasn't the case as the Washington Redskins held steady in the red zone and kept the high-powered Tampa Bay offense off the scoreboard.

Despite gaining more than 500 yards off offense, the Buccaneers could only muster three points. Tampa Bay found themselves in the red zone on nearly every drive. However, miscues from almost every unit kept the Bucs without a touchdown.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick turned the ball over twice, receivers dropped would-be touchdowns and Chandler Catanzaro continued to miss kicks.

Fansided: Buccaneers vs. Redskins: Stream, game time, how to watch

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to snap a two-game losing streak against a stingy Washington Redskins team.

Ryan Fitzpatrick needs to keep the Bucs offense hot due to the daunting Washington front seven. The running lanes won't be there on Sunday, so the offense will once again rely on the arm of Fitzpatrick.

The Redskins will play a different way. With Alex Smith in charge of the offense, Washington will control the clock and avoid turning the ball over. Turnovers have been one of the most significant issues for the Tampa Bay defense, expect some long, methodical drives this week because of it.

Fansided: Missed opportunities cost Buccaneers in loss to Redskins

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense couldn't capitalize on a single opportunity against the Washington Redskins, and it would cost them.

Despite gaining 480 yards of total offense, the Redskins defense would keep the Bucs at bay in the red zone, and Washington walked away with a 16-3 victory.

With a chance to make it a one-score game, Ryan Fitzpatrick fumbled the ball at the two-yard line, and the Redskins would take over to seal the ball game. On the previous play, star receiver Mike Evans couldn't come down with a catch in the end zone.

Bucs Nation: Tampa Bay Buccaneers fall to Washington Redskins

Week 10 of the 2018 NFL regular season had the NFC East leading Washington Redskins (5-3) visiting our beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5) who currently sit in last place in the NFC South.

When you're four games behind your division leader with three divisional games left, the focus has to be on winning now. Opportunities will be present in the future, and if the Bucs could take care of business at home they could very well find themselves in position to take advantage of them later down the road.

According to odds makers, Tampa Bay came into this match-up favored to win by a Chandler Catanzaro field goal.

ESPN.com: Banged-up Redskins find beauty in ugly road win in Tampa

TAMPA - The Washington Redskins didn't make mistakes. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did. Over and over. That, in a nutshell, is why the Redskins won a game in which the numbers would suggest they had no business doing so.

But their 16-3 win over Tampa Bay wasn't about beauty. When you have three starting offensive linemen sidelined with injuries as well as a starting corner - and a host of others -- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And, to the Redskins (6-3), that meant they had just won a damn beauty contest.

Fansided: Buccaneers vs. Redskins Week 10 Inactives: Ronald Jones out

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their inactives for their Week 10 matchup against the Washington Redskins.

The Bucs are going to be without some key contributors on both sides of the ball. Most notably defensive end Vinny Curry, who has been dealing with an ankle injury for a few weeks.

Curry has started at defensive end opposite Jason Pierre-Paul for the entire season. Tampa Bay will be without one of their best pass rushers against a banged-up Washington offensive line.

Second-round picks Ronald Jones, and M.J. Stewart will also be out of action on Sunday.

Bucs Nation: Buccaneers, Redskins Vegas odds

The 3-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be hosting the 5-3 Washington Redskins in a crucial NFC matchup. Both teams, especially the Buccaneers could really use a win to possibly jump start the second half of the season.

Tampa Bay, who will be playing only their fourth home game of the season are favorites in this game for only the second time all season. The Buccaneers have lost 5 of their last 6 games, but are 2-1 at home.

Fansided: Redskins vs. Buccaneers: 5 keys to victory in their week 10 matchup

Coming off a blowout home loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Washington Redskins travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers this week, thus wrapping up all of their games against the NFC South in 2018.

This division has proven to be troublesome for the Redskins, as they are just 1-2 against the teams within it. As prior games against the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons have shown, teams in this division can score in bunches. The Buccaneers are no different, even if their current quarterback situation is somewhat unsettled while Ryan Fitzpatrick starts for another week.
