The Lions are trending up, the Bears are trending down. This seems like a good week for the Lions to keep hammering the ball on the ground. The loss of Vaitai does present a good amount of concern on the right side, but with Swift currently playing his best football, it may not matter. This is a game that Detroit can win out right, give me the Lions +3.

The Bears matchup against the Lions on Thanksgiving favored at -3.5. The Lions are 0-9 on the year. They are 6-4 ATS, and a home matchup against the Bears doesnt go in their favor. The Bears look to have QB Andy Dalton start again this week, and the Bears seem to be clicking with Dalton behind center. Last week Dalton had 2 TD’s with 200+ yards. WR’s Darnell Mooney and Marquise Goodwin each had 100+ yards receiving and TD. While star receiver Allen Robinson still produced 68 yards on 4 receptions. With the Lions playmakers, they seemingly only have RB D’Andre Swift and TE TJ Hockenson, and QB Jared Goff has only thrown 1 TD since week 4, where he had 2 TD’s against CHI. In that game, they still lost by 10. Lastly, expect to see a lot of RB David Montgomery controlling the pace of the Bears offense. The Lions rank 31st in the league, allowing 140 rushing yards per game. And the last time Montgomery faced the Lions, he went for 106 yards with 2 TD’s on 26 carries.

Andy Dalton is going to get the start for injured rookie QB Justin Fields for Chicago in this one. I don't know if that doesn't actually make the Bears a better team at this point. Fields is a long-term plan for Chicago, not for this season. Having the more experienced Dalton might turn out in their favor, especially against an inexperienced and winless Detroit Lions team.

The Lions have not looked altogether terrible their last two times out, however. They went to a tie with Pittsburgh, their best result all season, and also kept things to within 3 against Cleveland last week.

Still, while the Bears aren't good, they aren't "Detroit Lions bad" this season and I think having Dalton in may help. I like them on the moneyline here in what might be a close one.

The 3-7 Chicago Bears will face the 0-9-1 Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. The Lions have lost their last four Thanksgiving games. However, they have a good chance to beat a weak Chicago Bears team this week.

The Lions are the only winless team left in the NFL. They had a tie against the Pittsburgh Steelers a few weeks ago but cannot get a win.

I think this game will be close, but the Bears will win this game on the road. They are not that good but are good enough to beat the worst team in the NFL. Bet on the Bears.

There is a lot of internal issues in the Bears franchise. I could not think of a better time for the Lions to get win number one. Matt Nagy knows his job is ending due to many players wanting him out. Even with a healthy Dalton leading the Bears offense, I think the Lions have been playing better and will hope for a healthy Goff to lead them to victory. I am taking the Lions outright in this one

It's another Thanksgiving game for the Detroit Lions but they have little to thank for this season. They are still winless after ten games and they look worse with each passing week. Tim Boyle was not much of a help for Jared Goff, making a winless season a strong possibility. However, they will be going up against the Chicago Bears who are one of the league's worst in yards per game. However, Chicago's game plan on offense will be simple: give David Montgomery the ball. Detroit's run defense is non-existent and Montgomery will have a feast in this game. Therefore, take the Bears to win this game and bet on the under because Chicago will milk the clock as much as they can.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Boy, do we have some games today... The Bears (3-7) travel to their NFC North foe, the Detroit Lions (0-9-1) for a classic Thanksgiving day game. This is such a storied rivalry filled with both great & horrible games.... BUT, its Thanksgiving & you have to watch this showdown... with at least a few beers in your system, since it's the Shitter Game of the year.

The Lions are looking for their first win still. Coming so close a few weeks ago when they tied with Pittsburg, 16-16. Last week they came close to beating the Browns. But fell short 13-10. I'm rooting for you Dan Campbell, hopefully you snag that win!

The Bears are a totally different story. Possessing a defense filled with talent along with a promising young QB and an offense that shows signs of light, it seems the Bears have no idea the difference between their head & ass currently.

Key Factors:

- Game is at Ford Field, perfect conditions. Weather wont be a factor today.

- Bears average 16.3PPG, while allowing 24PPG

- Lions average 16PPG, while allowing 27.3PPG

- Bears average 315YPG, while allowing 367.4YPG

- Lions Average 334.5YPG, while allowing 389.4YPG

- Goff is a "Game time decision" with him being banged up, the Lions can really be down for the count.

Overall, this is such a tricky match. Dalton currently has the start for the Bears, but if he starts out slow, Fields will be in before half. The Bears need to take shots down field & set the mood early. But, I'm sure with the Red rifle in, that wont happen.

Pick: I like the Bears on the road -3/-2.5 depending on your book.

Chicago Bears will be heading to Detroit, intending to sweep their five-game losing streak, while the Detroit Lions will host the Bears on Thanksgiving day at their home ground Ford Field and is geared up to give a great competition to the counter and guest team. Both teams are leading with a fantasy to come over the other as both have not been great teams in the season, where Chicago is coming with a five-game losing streak and 16-13 loss to Baltimore as one-point underdogs. On the other hand, the lions have been struggling. This is because they are coming with a 13-10 loss to Cleveland as a 13.5 point underdog and because Chicago is leading 6-4 in the last ten meetings against the Lions, making the chances for the Chicago Bears higher.

The Bears will get their second crack at the Lions, hoping for a sweep. Their offense has been anemic, and Andy Dalton will be starting again in place of the injured Justin Fields. The defense is solid, but they struggle against the run, allowing 122.8 per game on the ground.

The Lions are still winless, although their last two contests were close. For all of their struggles, the Lions do have the eighth highest yards per rush heading into this game. This is also probably their easiest remaining game, and it's a second look at a team at home.

Pick: I think the Lions win their first game for the holiday. The Bears seem to be falling apart while the Lions have strung together some decent performances.

Chicago lost 16-13 to the Ravens despite the absence of starman Lamar Jackson. Chicago was 1 point underdogs and hence did not cover the spread. The Lions are yet to win in the new season. They were defeated 13-10 by Cleveland on Sunday but managed to cover a 14 point spread as underdogs. The game between the two teams is always scintillating but the absence of regular quarterbacks for both of them may slow down things quite a bit. They will have to turn to backup quarterbacks and this is where the Bears have the edge as Dalton (the backup quarterback) is quite experienced. The Bears have been losing narrowly but in those defeats, you could see the zest and hard work of the team. It should bear fruits against the winless Lions and I'm therefore backing the Bears to win.
