    • Wow, I'm all over Phillip Rivers as a Dog in this one. Both teams are reeling but San Diego was a Super Bowl Contender to everyone from sports analysts to vegas to my favorite drinking buddy, Jorge. I know Pouncey and Okung are out and that's piling on a depressingly long IR list including two all pro safeties but who needs safeties when you're up against a team who cannot get the ball downfield? Chargers should come out focus after looking completely unprepared the last two weeks. Too much talent and vet leadership on this team. Take the points.

      My Pick: Los Angeles

You are wrong John. We have the 4th best defense in points allowed per drive. We'll shut that weak ass dink and dunk screen game that Rivers relies on so heavily. Best bet is the Under 40. Basically fade the OVER in all Titans games this year. 4Real, SON. Under 40

            Los Angeles Chargers
(57% consensus). The Tennessee Titans have benched Marcus Mariota as the veteran Ryan Tannehill will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the visiting Los Angeles Chargers. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 draft, Mariota never has lived up to that billing, and coach Mike Vrabel stated that he made the move because the offense needs a spark... http://bit.ly/2B6GOLG

Fansided: Tennessee Titans: 3 takeaways from Week 7 win over Chargers

The Tennessee Titans got back in the win column following a nail-biting 23-20 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers inside Nissan stadium on Sunday afternoon. The victory gave the Titans a pulse on their 2019 season as they moved to a semi-respectable record of 3-4. The Titans needed every inch of the football field to put this game away.

The Titans defense once again came up big when it mattered most by causing a game-sealing turnover on the goal line when all hope of a victory had seemed lost. Tennessee received significant contributions from their usual play-makers such as Kevin Byard, Logan Ryan, Jurrell Casey, etc.

ESPN.com: Chargers in disbelief over loss to Titans: 'On the field, we won it twice'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Los Angeles Chargers players were still in disbelief after losing a game in which officials signaled touchdown on the field twice for go-ahead scores in the final minute Sunday, only to have both calls overturned in a 23-20 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

It was the Chargers' third straight loss.

"I'm going to tell y'all, I've never been in a ball game like that before," coach Anthony Lynn said. "When you go from feeling like your guys fought their ass off, which they did, and won the ball game, and then lose it the way we lost it.

Music City Miracles: 2019 Titans Week 7 Enemy Profile: Three Chargers Players To Look Out For

Things were a little more optimistic for both the Titans and Chargers when they faced each other in 2018 (also in Week 7!). At 3-3 and 4-2 both teams had playoffs on their minds, but this time the two enter Sunday's matchup at 2-4.

Much like Tennessee the Chargers offensive line has not been good this season; While the line has only allowed 12 sacks, they've also allowed 34 hits. That's not bottom of the barrel (unfortunately the Titans are currently third last in this category with 47 hits allowed) but it's also a situation where Tennessee's pass rush can do some damage, especially with rookie Jeffery Simmons making his debut.

Fansided: Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Predictions for week 7

You never want to have a "must win" game in October, because that means to expect some dark things for the rest of the season, but that is exactly what the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers have right now.

While it has almost gotten lost in the Marcus Mariota benching and Ryan Tannehill elevation, the Titans are at a miserable 2-4 as are the Chargers. With both teams on the precipice of losing any relevance in the NFL, there feels like some desperation on both sides for a win here.

The Titans have the advantage of having a "new" quarterback for Gus Bradley and the Chargers defense to plan for, not to mention getting to play at home.

Fansided: If these 3 things happen, the Chargers will beat the Titans in Week 7

Next up on the slate is a road trip to face the Tennessee Titans. At 2-4, the Titans are in the exact same boat as the Chargers and are coming off a shutout loss to the Broncos. The loser of this game will find it difficult to make the playoffs this season.

But in terms of talent, even with all of the injuries taken into consideration, the Chargers are the much more talented team, right?

Even if this game is being played in Nashville, that should not be something that intimidates the Chargers. It's not as if the Titans have some sort of crazy home-field advantage.
