After what happened to KC's offense last week, I look for them to come out firing. Houston's defense isn't that great and I think Watson is too inconsistent on offense. I can easily see him having 2 interceptions. But anyway Kansas City at home is the play here.

I have no faith in Houston's offense and Kansas City is overdue for a complete offensive game. The Chiefs are at home and expecting Tyrek Hill back this week. I predict KC to put it all together this week and win by double digits.

My Pick: Kansas City -4 50%

      • Love the Over on this one. Cash it in. Houston's Pass D is 25th in opponents yards per game and they give up a ton of big plays. They're likely going to try their best to keep the game at a slower pace running the ball early but KC is mad and ready to get back on track - this is the perfect matchup for the deep WR . group there. Houston obviously has the fire power with Fuller, Hopkins & Stills to put up points as well. Should be a fun game to watch with perhaps the two youngest big stars in the league.

        My Pick: Over 55.5 50%

Moneyline (?) The Texans are tempting at +170 on the road as they match up well against the Chiefs attack and their offense broke out last week; however, the potential return of Hill will keep the Chiefs ahead. Keep an eye on his status throughout the week. The bottom line is the Chiefs team is banged up on both sides of the ball and having issues protecting Mahomes and Indianapolis exposed a chink in the armor last Sunday night. The best bet here is grabbing the points with the TEXANS +4.5 and I'll put something small on the money line for grins.

          Over/Under (?)

Take the UNDER (55.5, -110) on the highest projected point total of the week. The Texans will want to slow down their own offense in order to control the Chiefs time of possession and after Sunday night the Chiefs offense doesn't look as potent as Vegas is giving them credit for.

          My Pick: Houston +4.5 & Under 55 60%

The thing is, the Texans CAN'T slow down this offense. They haven't slowed down anyone. Over 55.5 50%

        • Texans WR Kenny Stills (hamstring) is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
          ANALYSIS
The Texans are treating Stills as a game-time decision, so an official decision on his status won't come until 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. EDT kickoff. Assuming Schefter's report comes to pass and Stills is inactive, Keke Coutee would step in as the Texans' clear No. 3 wideout

Hill (shoulder), who is listed as questionable and was previously labeled as a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt with the Texans, is trending toward playing, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

                • Chiefs Xavier Williams (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
                  ANALYSIS
Williams suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday's loss against the Colts and will now be sidelined for at least the next eight weeks. Terrell McClain signed with the Chiefs on Tuesday and provides additional depth at defensive tackle.

(58% consensus). The Kansas City Chiefs look to bounce back from a disappointing loss when they host the Houston Texans on Sunday in a clash of AFC contenders. The matchup pits two exciting young quarterbacks against one another as Kansas Citys Patrick Mahomes and Houstons Deshaun Watson go head-to-head for the first time since they were selected two picks apart in the 2017 draft... http://bit.ly/2iJsWfr

What's happened to Patrick Mahomes and the powerful Chiefs offense? After opening the season with 10 touchdown passes in his first three games, Mahomes has thrown for just one TD in his past two, including a 19-13 loss at home last week to Indianapolis. He'll try to get back on track Sunday when Kansas City hosts the Houston Texans. Original matchup: http://bit.ly/2AHRGxC

Arrowhead Pride: Chiefs vs. Texans: game and score predictions

In Week 5, the entire Arrowhead Pride staff was confident the Kansas City Chiefs would defeat the Indianapolis Colts -- and so did our readers. That didn't work out so well.

So let's see what our staff (and our readers) think about the Week 6 game against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

Sorry Chiefs fans, I'm going to be that guy. I really want to pick the Chiefs, but I just can't.

Way back in April the 2019 NFL Schedule was released. I yanked the tack out of the wall unsheathing it from its scabbard and showcasing the multiple holes in the plaster like strange tasting cheese. I placed the calendar on the desk. Flipped through the months of classic National Park travel posters: time traveling past the red pinnacles in Utah's red rock country; that grand wisdom tooth, the highest peak in Texas, Virginia's rare east coast park with waterfalls and deers and the sun hidden by all those leaves, and went to September: Theodore Roosevelt; October: Zion; November: Everglades; December: Arches.
