This game is a little trickier than it looks. I think Tom Brady can come out and eat the Giants secondary up or they play down to New York and barely win the game. Patriots win and Brady tries to put up the 42 himself. I like the Over here.
76% of the public is on the Pats and why wouldn't they be? But the weather is supposedly going to be problematic tonight - which usually offers some nuts and bolts to fly lose for an underdog play. I know the public has actually done quite well with the Pats this year as huge favorites but something about this matchup smells of a Giants Cover.
Man i dont like this feeling, I been seeing numbers move all over the place, the weather getting worse as the day goes and I know the history about this two. @dallas has my attention . Im taking the giants to cover. Probably wouldnt bet tho lol
I think he just doesn't trust heavy public bets - if they were 75% right all the time, this would be easy. The publi is making a killing on the Pats this year. This seems like a big F You to the public game. That weather is an omen.
Patriots-Giants: Heavy rain, wind in weather forecast for Thursday night football - masslive.com https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2019/10/patriots-giants-heavy-rain-wind-in-weather-forecast-for-thursday-night-football.html
Yea I know, the total was 46.5 and now at 41. Thats too low for me. Ill take a shot at the over here. I could see New England getting turnovers at will tonight And will give Brady good field position all night long. The d might even score a couple of points tonight
When the Patriots offense takes to the field they have managed to score 31 points a game and defensively the Patriots are giving up only 6.8 points a game this year. Yes 6.8 PPG and the Giants are starting their water boy at running back tonight. Patriots win 31-6.
Oh my, you had me at waterboy. I bet the Patriots run and drain the clock, Not to mention the weather, making me suspicious on a 17 pt spread. On the flip side, I cant imagine NYG being within 2 touchdowns and a field goal.
Much like last week, the Giants are going to have a difficult time scoring, especially considering the absence of key players like Engram, Shepard, Barkely, and Gallman. The Patriots defense already has eight different players with at least two sacks. Teams facing the Patriots have had only a 34% rush success rate and 30% pass success rate according to data provided by Sports Data Solutions. New England hasnt faced many potent offenses, but nor do they face one Thursday night. While I am concerned that the Patriots might have their way through the air, their defense should hold the Giants to few enough points for this game to go Under.
Sterling Shepard, Evan Engram, and RB Wayne Gallman are all out. No wonder this line moved from -10 to -17. Rookie QB Daniel Jones is being thrown into the teeth of #3 Patriots defense without any weapons. I think New York wills struggle to score 7 points in this game. I see this game setting up a lot like last week's Pats- Redskins game, close for 1 quarter and then Patriots will step on the gas. I think we see another 33-6 type of game, I'll ride Pats -17 again this week.
Giant's Wayne Gallman (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game in New England. ANALYSIS After suffering a concussion this past Sunday versus the Vikings, Gallman had little chance to get through the protocol in time to suit up just four days later. Gallman will join Saquon Barkley (ankle) in street clothes Thursday, leaving Jon Hilliman and Elijhaa Penny to head the Giants' backfield.
Giant's Sterling Shepard (concussion) is ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Patriots. ANALYSIS Shepard suffered his second concussion of the season during the Week 5 loss to Minnesota, so he was always facing an uphill battle to clear the five-step protocol for head injuries on a short week. With top running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) and tight end Evan Engram (knee) also ruled out, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones will operate with Golden Tate, Darius Slayton, Cody Latimer and Cody Core as his primary targets in the passing game.
Patriot's Phillip Dorsett (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Giants. ANALYSIS On a short week, Dorsett never seemed very likely to suit up Thursday. The Patriots' No. 3 wideout will now look to recover in time for the team's Oct. 21 tilt against the Jets. With Dorsett unavailable, Jakobi Meyers figures to see added snaps in Week 6 behind starting receivers Julian Edelman (chest) and Josh Gordon (knee), who are both officially listed as questionable, but seem likely to play.
Patriot's Julian Edelman (chest) is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Giants. ANALYSIS The same applies to Josh Gordon (knee), but given that both starting receivers were able to log their usual allotment of snaps this past Sunday against Washington, we'd expect the duo to play Thursday. Confirmation of that outcome, either way, will arrive about 90 minutes before the Patriots' 8:20 ET kickoff. Five games into the 2019 season, Edelman leads the Patriots in catches (29), targets (41) and receiving yards (336), to go along with a pair of TDs.
