Ian Anderson gets the nod for Atlanta in game 7 tonight. At 22 years and 169 days old, Anderson will become the sixth-youngest pitcher to start a winner-take-all postseason game. The right-hander has been stellar so far in his first postseason, throwing 15 2/3 scoreless innings over three starts. That includes four scoreless frames against the Dodgers in NLCS Game 2, though he wasn't sharp, walking five while striking out five in Atlanta's 8-7 victory.
The Dodgers have not named a starter at time of this post, left-handers Julio Uras and Clayton Kershaw provide options to start, if the Dodgers prefer to use Gonsolin in the middle innings or Gonsolin could get the nod here. In relief, Kenley Jansen would be throwing for a third consecutive day, although he made just six pitches Saturday. Brusdar Graterol did not pitch in Game 6 so he could pitch an inning late in the game or he could pitch the first inning, as an opener. Either way, it's going to be pitching by committee for LA here today.
Just like it was Tampa Bay's series to win and the cream rose to the top, I think this is Atlanta's game to win. I'm not stepping in front of Ian Anderson and the Braves hot bats right now and like the plus odds in this one.
