Cleveland Pitcher Triston McKenzie will be available out of the bullpen Tuesday against the White Sox.
It appears the Indians are preparing him for his potential role during the postseason. McKenzie was previously lined up to start Friday against the Pirates. The 23-year-old has been very impressive so far in the majors, posting a 3.68 ERA and 36/9 K/BB ratio in six starts over 29 1/3 innings.

Shane Bieber has effectively locked up the American League Cy Young Award. Bieber is 8-1 with a 1.74 ERA in his 11 starts this year, and no pitcher in baseball comes anywhere close to his 112 strikeouts. But he does even more than strike hitters out; opponents are hitting just .171 against him this year, and hes able to pitch deep into games averaging close to 7.0 innings per start. His dominance this season has been equalled by few over the past decade, and he should put the exclamation point on it with a strong performance against the first-place White Sox. Chicago starter Reynaldo Lopez has been a mainstay in his teams rotation the past three years despite his above-five ERA. Hes won just one of his six starts and is averaging just more than 3.0 innings per outing. Look for the Indians to come away with the win today.
Reynaldo Lopez (5.40 ERA) After struggling earlier this season, Lpez has hit a stride with three strong starts this month, allowing four earned runs across 12 September innings. He yielded three runs over 5 1/3 innings in his previous outing, vs. the Twins on Sept. 17.
Cal Quantrill (2.54 ERA) With the postseason in sight, the Indians decided to push back Shane Bieber's start, leaving Quantrill to open a bullpen day on Tuesday. He allowed one run in 3 2/3 frames in one other start this year.
White Sox are worth a shot here as a +150 value bet, Lopez has been in great form last 3 starts and Chicago has the better bats.
