  • I love the over in this one. Neither pitcher is a top 3 guy in the staff and the Brewers are capable of putting up a 9-spot on any given night - especially against Hernandez. They've scored 19 in their last 3 games. Love, love, love the over.

    My Pick: Over 8.5

Brewcrew have every advantage in this one. They are playing better (they actually have something to play for) and have the better roster from top to bottom. Especially with getting Lorenzo Cain back and somewhat healthy in the line up, this team is dangerous. Miami is stuck on the tracks and the Brewcrew train is coming.

    My Pick: Milwaukee -180

Brew Crew Ball: Brewers push past Marlins late for fifth win in a row, but lose Christian Yelich for rest of season

The Milwaukee Brewers have been ravaged by a spate of injuries this season, but the biggest blow undoubtedly happened in the first inning of series game two in Miami against the Marlins on Tuesday night. Batting third in the top of the first inning, Yelich fouled a ball off his knee in a 1-2 count and went down to the ground for several minutes before leaving the game under his own power. Unfortunately, it was announced after the game that he will miss the rest of the regular season with a right kneecap fracture.

The evening's events would have been that much worse if the Menomonee Valley Nine had dropped the game against the lowly Marlins, and it was a closely fought contest throughout.

CBS Miami: Yelich Breaks Kneecap, Out For Season; Brewers Top Marlins

MIAMI (AP) -- Brewers star Christian Yelich broke his right kneecap on a foul ball Tuesday night and will miss the rest of the regular season, an injury that overshadowed Milwaukee's 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins.

The Brewers didn't say whether the reigning NL MVP might be able to return for the playoffs that begin Oct. 1 if they make it that far. Yelich will return to Milwaukee on Wednesday for further evaluation.

Milwaukee, which won its fifth in a row, began the day two games behind the Chicago Cubs for the second NL wild-card spot.

CBS Miami: Brewers Top Marlins For 4th Straight Win

MIAMI (AP) - Rookie Trent Grisham is enjoying being part of a race for a postseason berth.

Grisham had a career-high five hits and drove in two runs, and the Milwaukee Brewers won their fourth straight, 8-3 over the Miami Marlins on Monday night.

"He plays with a smile on his face, but he's a competitive person," Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. "He's done a nice job. You get five hits in a big September game and lead the offense from a rookie, that's as much as you can ask."

Milwaukee moved within six games of idle first-place St.
