I like both Verlander and Morton but they have shared one common theme all year. Great pitchers who give up more home runs than someone would guess. They really aren't that detectable because they are generally solo shots. Remember Verlander went on a rant about the balls being juiced because he's never giving up homeruns like he has this year and I actually believe him 100%. With that said I love the over but I honestly think the Astros will cover the majority of the runs and see this game in that 5-3 astros range but wouldn't be shocked if there is 10 runs tonight. I have most my action on the over and a little parlay with the astros and the over
I think there is great value in Charlie Morton and the Rays here. We should see a ton of strike outs in this one as both pitchers have dominating stuff. Both teams also have struggled a bit at the plate. I think this is a great spot for the Rays to steal a game in Houston here
Morton returns home to face his WS - winning friends in a pitchers duel. It's not going to be easy going in to Houston who is 41-13 in their last 54 home games. It's not often you get Verlander at anything below -200 and the value of Morton is very tempting. I'm going to play a small unit bet with TB because I think the public is overlooking a couple bad games at Baltimore. I think they come ready to play tonight as they try to hold on to the WC.
