Plesac has had a pretty good start to his season but he has some pretty extreme splits from right to left handed batters. His ISO is through the roof to both sides of the plate (.258 to lefties and .246 to righties) and his numbers show some regression coming his way and his SIERA is 1.38 higher than his ERA. His wOBA is .341 to lefties and league average is about a .280. That's not going to bode well for him because texas has 6 projected left handed bats in the lineup tonight. Meanwhile no one gives any credit to Sampson even though he's been pitching really well. Sure he kind of got rocked by the Red sox in boston but he pitched a complete game against the A's and shut down the Royals befoer that. This indians team had one good outing against the Tigers but other than that they haven't done that great. I'll take the rangers with the plus money

    My Pick: Texas +113 50%

  • ***UNDER 10.5*** Plesac had allowed two runs or fewer through his first three career starts, but coming off an 111-pitch outing against the Yankees, he gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings with three homers yielded vs. the Reds. Sampson is going for Texas tonight and is carrying a 4.20 ERA and allowed six runs in five innings in his last start against the Red Sox, but prior to that game he had been pretty much nails. I like both starters today to go 6-7 innings and if they bring their A game this should be a lower than expected game. 10.5 runs just doesn't pass the eye test with me today, give me the Unders here.

    My Pick: Under 10.5

Lone Star Ball: 39-34 - Sampson shorn as Rangers fall 10-3 to Indians

Finally, after she had pressed him daily with her words and pleaded until he was sick to death, Samson told her all that was in his heart: "My hair has never been cut, because I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother's womb. If I am shaved, my strength will leave me, and I will become as weak as any other man."

When Delilah realized that he had revealed to her all that was in his heart, she sent this message to the lords of the Philistines: "Come up once more, for he has revealed to me all that is in his heart.

Let's Go Tribe: Oscar Mercado sparks Indians in rout of Rangers

One usual suspect -- Oscar Mercado -- and one unusual suspect -- Jason Kipnis -- led the charge for the Cleveland Indians against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night, scoring a 10-3 victory to back another strong start from Tribe rookie Zach Plesac.

Plesac showed no signs of a hangover after his worst start of the season a week ago against the Reds. The Indians' rookie right-hander held Texas to a single run over seven innings of work, surrendering two hits and five walks and striking out six. The Rangers didn't even have a hit until Rougned Odor's moonshot home run in the fifth inning.

NEO Sports Insiders: Plesac Looks to Get the Indians a Win in Texas; The Tribe Starting Nine Against the Rangers

Indians rookie pitcher Zach Plesac is on the mound this evening for the Tribe as the team looks to rebound after Monday's 7-2 setback to the Rangers in Arlington.

Plesac had a tough outing against the Reds last time out allowing back-to-back homers to start the game, and enters Tuesday's affair with a mark of 1-2 at a 2.91 ERA.

The Indians youngster has given up five home runs in his four major league starts. The 24-year-old will be facing Texas for the first time in his young career.

The Rangers, who lead the Indians for the second wild card spot in the American League, will counter with righty Adrian Sampson.

NEO Sports Insiders: Indians Stall in Game One to the Rangers as Clevinger's Return Spoiled in 7-2 Loss

Mike Clevinger was finally back on the mound for the Indians on Monday night in Texas, but his long awaited return was spoiled by the Rangers in a 7-2 setback in the opener of the Tribe's huge four-game set in Arlington.

Clevinger lasted 4.2 innings, allowing five runs on five hits, and also scared the Indians and their fans when he went down with what looked like an ankle injury in the second inning.

He said he's okay, which is a good thing for an Indians team that really needs help still when it comes to their starting pitching.

Lone Star Ball: 39-33 - Lynn wins as Texas tops Cleveland 7-2 in homestand opener

Here's the things you should know about tonight's baseball game between the Texas Rangers and the Cleveland Indians:

The Rangers scored seven runs and all of them came with two outs and boy that must be extremely frustrating if you care about the Indians. We don't, however, so it was pretty fun.

Back to Lynn, though. Tonight Lynn tossed seven innings of one-run ball while striking out nine Indians and walking zero. And there's, uh, this:
