I originally thought the Yankees would split this series like their last two but I realize C.C. is starting and he has lost something. He can still be a good pitcher but I don't see him dominating like in the past. Chicago at home.

Sox offense is always a concern but getting Giolito at even money is irresistible. Giolito, 9-1 on the year, has been a cash machine this season and no reason to fade Sox here against Sabathia who has been hit hard of late. Love Chicago -102 at home tonight.80%

I'm excited about this matchup tonight because we can see if Giolito is the real deal or not. You need to remember that he was a top prospect and was supposed to be this good and I don't think this is a fluke because he's been mowing down some pretty good teams along the way. It's not like he's facing the Marlins giants and royals every game. He's changed his delivery and found the right mix of using his off speed pitches and I just think this guy is the real deal going foward. The yankees strike out a ton and I just don't think they are going to lite Giolito up tonight. Then on the other side one thing CC has been able to do further down in his career is limit hard contact and he has done a great job with his control. I love the under and took under 9 this morning and see the line has already moved to 8.5. I still like that line and even hit it again for a little bit at 8.5 at -105 on top of my under 9 -120

Going with Giolito and the Sox here to get another victory. The White Sox arent a great offensive team, but they still boast a better batting lineup, which means they should have equal success in teeing off on Sabathia, who hasnt played well on the road. He is 1-2 and throwing a 5.68 ERA when pitching away from Yankee Stadium, which sets him up for a long night against the White Soxs offense. I fully believe that Giolito will limit this yankees offense enough for them to score enough runs off Sabathia. Take the White Sox at plus odds here50%

Friday MLB betting: Lucas Giolito, White Sox favored over Yankees; Cubs underdogs in L.A. For just the seventh time this season, the White Sox are favored on the same day the Cubs are underdogs. Lucas Giolito has a lot to do with that, as do the Cubs' road woes and tough opponent. https://www.betchicago.com/mlb-betting-white-sox-yankees-giolito-cubs-dodgers-friday

Positives keep piling up for White Sox, who start 'important' series against Yankees on winning noteAs Rick Hahn has said again and again, this White Sox team is going to be judged less on how many games they win and more on how they win them. Well, chalk up positive marks for both categories after Thursday night's comeback victory against the visiting New York Yankees. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/positives-keep-piling-white-sox-044529721.html

NY Post: Yankees vs. White Sox: Expect Lucas Giolito to keep rolling
If you had placed a $100 bet on every starting pitcher in every start they have made this season, Lucas Giolito would enter Friday as the most profitable pitcher in the majors. According to OddsShark, you'd be up $955 this season -- and he has found his way into the early Cy Young discussion.
Giolito (9-1) has more complete games, two, than losses thus far with a 2.28 ERA. Considering his ERA was 6.13 last season, it is a remarkable turnaround and it all begins with his command. Last season, Giolito was averaging 4.7 walks per nine innings.
Chicago Tribune: White Sox ace Lucas Giolito takes on the Yankees in search of his 10th win
White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito has thrown 22 consecutive scoreless innings entering Friday's start against the Yankees at Guaranteed Rate Field.
In his last seven starts, Giolito is 7-0 with a 0.88 ERA, 25 hits allowed, 59 strikeouts and 10 walks in 51 1/3 innings.
"As long as you continue to make adjustments, as long as you go out there and have success, it kind of builds the confidence within you," Sox manager Rick Renteria said. "He's understanding what he's capable of doing. He's always believed in himself, and that's a big part of future success.
Chicago Tribune: Yoan Moncada is out of the lineup for the 2nd straight game as the White Sox open their series against the Yankees
Yoan Moncada is out of the lineup for a second consecutive game as the White Sox begin a four-game series against the Yankees on Thursday at Guaranteed Rate Field.
The third baseman left Monday's game against the Nationals because of upper-back tightness. He said he's making progress toward a return.
"Much better than the first day," Moncada said via an interpreter, "but I still feel a soreness."
Moncada said he could return "maybe Saturday or Sunday."
He is batting .295 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs.
Jose Rondon will make his second straight start at third base.
