As good as the Cubs had been leading up to this series they are almost a complete opposite now. The Rockies been working and trying to right their ship for over a month and they appear to be on their way to making things right. Their bullpen has all of a sudden gotten confidence and it shows. I'll take them again today and watch the Cubs scramble out of Colorado scratching their heads.

Tensions ran high throughout the game, beginning in the third inning. Early in the game, Antonio Senzatela pitched really inside to Kyle Schwarber. The Cubs avoided the sweep in Denver, riding a solid performance from starter Cole Hamels and three multi-run innings to secure the W.
Carlos Gonzalez got the action going in the 2nd, shaking loose a single from Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela. Victor Caratini doubled and a long single from Jason Heyward put the Cubs up 2-0. Cubs Insider: Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (6/11/19) - Rockies 10, Cubs 3: Quintana Wild, Bats Quiet in Cubs Loss
Starting pitchers Jose Quintana and Peter Lambert squared off against one another for the second time in less than a week Tuesday night, resulting in the second loss for the Cubs in as many tries. Quintana struggled with control for much of the night, walking four Rockies hitters in just 4.2 innings. Things started off on a sour note for Q and the Cubs as Charlie Blackmon doubled to lead off the Rockies half of the 1st inning. Quintana retired the next two batters and appeared as though he may escape unscathed. But after a walk to Nolan Arenado, former Cub Daniel Murphy doubled to right field, driving in both Blackmon and Arenado to give the Rockies a 2-0 lead.
