The Texas Rangers are just god awful on the road and Smyly isn't a pitcher that I"m going to bet on, as he's given up four earned runs in four of his last six starts overall and has an ERA of nine in eight innings on the road. Canning is coming off a seven innings shutout against the Kansas City Royals and is allowing a .171 batting average in 11.1 innings at home. All signs point to LA tonight and at -160 I'll play the Run Line -110.

Los Angeles Angels (64% consensus). The Texas Rangers are riding a season high-tying four-game winning streak as they kick off a six-game West Coast trip with three against the Los Angeles Angels beginning Friday. Texas swept three games from Seattle by a combined four runs earlier this week and has won seven of its last eight games behind an offense that has produced 53 runs during that span... http://bit.ly/2uz3ylq

The Los Angeles Angels have won three of Griffin Canning's four starts this season and they turn to him looking to pull out of a four-game slide. The Angels are a -160 favorite to do so against the Texas Rangers, who are coming back at +135 with Drew Smyly and his ugly 6.51 ERA. The total opened at 9 runs.Rangers vs Angels Game Center. Fansided: LA Angels Series Preview: Nowhere to go but up vs Rangers
Have the LA Angels ever looked as far out of their league as they did against the Twins? Sure the Twins are one of the best teams in baseball, if not the best, but they flat out whipped the Angels..
But that's okay, because there is nowhere to go but up from here against division rival Rangers! I think.... The LA Angels are constantly finding new ways to hit rock bottom and I have to wonder if this is only the start of another plummet instead of the starting point of a fresh series and a new outlook.
Halos Heaven: Series Preview: Rangers @ Angels (Chance to get even?)
Seems like only yesterday the Angels were sitting one game under .500. That day is more of a distant memory after the trouncing the Angels receiving by the Twins.
The last time these two teams met, the Rangers swept the Angels - but the Angels won their first series 2 games to 1 in earlier last month, so taking 2 games here could even up the season series.
The Rangers find themselves in 2nd place in the AL West after winning their last 3 series and sweeping the Mariners earlier in the week.
