This may be a little scary considering how these teams have been batting, but I trust pitching over batting every time. I'll start with Martin Perez who has been having a great season and has upped him velocity of 7 seasons (93 MPH) to 95 MPH. Doesn't really make sense how he's throwing harder but what's really impressive is the fact that he's been throwing a cutter which is a new pitch for him. Not only is he throwing it, he's throwing it 30% of the time and it has been working out great for him. It's really helped him keep his hard contact down . On the other side Marco Gonzales started the season off to a 5-0 start and was pure fire until his last two starts. But he's still rocking a 3 ERA and he also does a great job limiting hard contact. This is a high total for these pitchers and this ball park and I really like the Under tonight. Like I said, this pick feels gross because these are the same teams that have been putting up 15 runs on their own and they both have great lineups but I still think pitching is key and I really like these pitchers and think they both fly under the radar by the general public so i"m taking the under tonight

    My Pick: Under 9 70%

People are alllllllll over the OVER 9 in this game kuz they see these two teams and it screams over and majority of the bets coming in on the total are jumping on the over kuz of what they saw last night.. but most of the money and sharp bettors are taking the under, as well af myself n you, which u.s exactly why you haven't seen this line move up to 9.5 or 10, which u.s where you'd think it go, but it hasn't.. think about that people.. pitching > hitting

Matter of fact, let's take the bullpens outta the equation, rely on these 2 starters, and take F5 UNDER 5 ... there's your free pick winner for the night

The Minnesota Twins are piling up the wins left and right and have a red hot offense; Perez has also been really reliable this season, which includes allowing four earned runs in his last 26 innings. Cheap price on the Twins tonight....hotter team, hotter bats, and better pitcher.

    My Pick: Minnesota -110

The Seattle Times: Erik Swanson gets rocked, and Mariners can't recover in 11-6 loss to Twins

Hours before it got ugly at T-Mobile Park - the seven runs, seven hits, two errors and 13 Twins coming to the plate in one inning sort of ugly - Mariners manager Scott Servais was asked about the difficulties and developmental highs and lows that a rookie starting pitcher endures during his first season in Major League Baseball and how the team should evaluate them.

It wasn't specifically about Thursday night's starter Erik Swanson, but he's certainly proving to be a viable test subject for that transitional philosophy.

    Servais listed two keys:

Can they make adjustments from start to start?
