  • Stanek throws 2 pitches; a dirtball and a slow 90-92mph fastball. Rodriquez you just can't trust either. OVER 8

Call me crazy but I like the Red Sox here at +183 odds. You gotta figure that the Sox get it together at some point and I think its sooner rather then later.

That's a bold move. you're right at some they have to right the ship but they are bad every where right now and that's concerning. TB -114 60%

Wow, what happened odds shifted down $50. Ryne as SP for TB makes Boston a good bet at +185. I think current odds are more realistic so Im going to hold off all together in this one now. 60%

Over the Monster: Red Sox at Rays lineup: At least it's warmer

The Red Sox (6-13) square off with the first-place Rays (14-5), whom they already somehow trail by eight games so far, when the teams meet tonight in Florida (7:10 p.m.) Andrew Benintendi's back on the top of the lineup for Boston, while Tzu-Wei Lin gets the start at second base as the Sox reckon, poorly, with the end of the Dustin Pedroia experiment. The team's a mess, and Lin will help to clean it up, no matter how temporary a solution.

The Rays have been the anti-Sox this year -- always actually, but who's counting?

The Joy of Sox: G20: Red Sox at Rays, 7 PM

    Eduardo Rodriguez / Ryne Stanek

    Benintendi, LF
    Betts, RF
    Moreland, 1B
    Martinez, DH
    Bogaerts, SS
    Devers, 3B
    Vazquez, C
    Bradley, CF
    Lin, 2B

Infielders Tzu-Wei Lin and Michael Chavis (the Red Sox's top prospect will wear #23) and pitcher Marcus Walden have joined the team from Pawtucket.

Corresponding roster moves: Dustin Pedroia (left knee) and Eduardo Nunez (mid-back strain) were placed on the injured list and pitcher Erasmo Ramirez was designated for assignment.

Stanek will be making his fifth start of the season as an "opener". He has alternated starting and relieving in his first eight games this year.
