I really like Villanova and want them to win, I just think Purdue can grind down opponents and wear them down.50%

Nova is just not deep or mature enough to beat this overlooked Purdue team. Trevion Williams and Matt Haarms are going to dominate down low as Nova doesn't have the strength to matchup. Both teams will shoot a lot of three's but defending the arc and getting at the glass should be enough for the Boilermakers to cover in this one.50%

I'm going with the Boilermakers here. I think this one is going to be a war between a pair of teams that fought through tight, low scoring affairs. Purdue is a little deeper than Villanova, who literally played just six players in their win over Saint Marys. Cremo played all of three minutes in the contest while all five starters logged at least 30 minutes. Paschall logged 39 minutes, Bey played 38 and Booth 36: thats not a good sign for a game with a quick turnaround. The Boilermakers have a bit more experience on their side and that works for them. Look for Edwards and company to come up with the win and advance to the Sweet 16.

Big East meets Big Ten. Villanova is No. 6 seed and they are on the road to meet No. 3 seed Purdue. Villanova, surprise to me, held off Saint Mary's and Purdue cruised past Old Dominion without much trouble.80%
The Wildcats are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 NCAA Tournament games, 39-15 ATS in their last 54 non-conference games and 37-18 ATS in their last 55 neutral site games. The Boilermakers 39-19 ATS in their last 58 non-conference games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. Big East.
Villanova has been playing great and they won't go down easily today but I'm worried that they don't have the depth to keep up with a team like Purdue, especially when they don't play as well on the road. The Boilermakers are playing their best ball of the season right now and are playing consistently good ball. I think Villanova has a hard time getting over Purdue. This is a good line for this game but I'm taking Purdue to grab the cover and move on.

Villanova hitting stride at the right time to go on another March Madness run. Statistically these two teams are mirror images of each other, Villanova is solid on both sides of the ball ranking 97th on offense and 49th on defense. Similarly, Purdue ranks 72nd on offense and 43rd on defense. Purdue looked extremely solid in its last game but that was against a pretty bad Old Dominion offense. On paper these two teams are very similar, you can give Purdue the lean because they played in a tougher conference, but I expect Villanovas offensive attack to give Purdue some serious problems in this game. I predict a close game here...the betting value is with Villanova +4.

It's an intriguing matchup as Villanova and Purdue hook up in the Round of 32 at the NCAA Tournament. Villanova is the No. 6 seed while Purdue is the No. 3 seed in the South bracket. Purdue opens as a 3.5-point favorite and that gets my attention as Villanova has shown an ability to win close games. The total opened at 137 points with two of the nation's top 50 defenses squaring off.Villanova vs Purdue Game Center. Original matchup: http://bit.ly/2TPBiXU
VU Hoops: March Madness: How to watch Villanova vs. Purdue
After gutting out a nervy win over St. Mary's, Purdue is waiting in the wings for Villanova on Saturday night in Hartford, Connecticut. The team last met in 2016 when Villanova went in Mackey Arena and won a hard fought game behind the heroics of Josh Hart.
There's been a lot of roster turnover on both sides, with just Phil Booth, Eric Paschall and Carsen Edwards remaining from that night's action.
Those will be the starts when these two teams take the court at the XL Center, and it isn't farfetched to suggest that whoever delivers the best performance may just lead their team to the Sweet 16.
