I'm gonna listen to the SportsJaw fam and take LSU...I'm getting a great line for a team that almost everyone thinks is going to win...don't let me down ya'll. Is it safe to go LSU or UNDER 148.5?

I'm rollin with LSU here. After the eye test you gotta think that LSU is going to have match up nightmares here. I think the Tigers will also shoot better then they did in the first round and that is not going to be good for Maryland

I love the Tigers in this one as I feel that they have a bit more offense than the Terps do. Maryland does have the edge on defense, but the Tigers have a big edge on offense and should be able to dominate on the glass with their size. LSU didn't shoot well in their first game against Yale, but that usually doesn't happen two games in a row. Look for LSU to pull away late.60%

I'm keeping this one short and sweet I'm taking LSU -2 here Because I believe for one they are the better all around team. Another reason is I believe the Terps slow starting slow paced offense will hurt them badly here. Take the tigers-260%

***LSU -2.5 BEST BET *** Both of these teams survived scares in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament, but overall LSU looked like the better team in Jacksonville and LSU has looked like the better team most of the season. Maryland is a big team, but LSU has the right amount of size to counter Smith and Fernando as Bigby-Williams and Reid have proven to be dominating forces inside the paint. LSU also has the advantage with their guard play and should be able to get their share of transition points with Waters and Mays - one of the best duos in college basketball. All things considered I just think LSU is the far superior team and should have no problem punching their ticket to the Sweet 16.

Second Round! Maryland squeaked by Belmont by 2 points in the opening round while the LSU Tigers held off Yale by putting together a second half come back to take down the Bulldogs by 5 points.50%
The Terrapins are a measly 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games. The Tigers are a steady 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and are 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning SU record.
All said, I like the Tigers in this match up. Although Maryland has a slightly better defense, I feel the Tigers have a better offense than the Terps.

LSU Tigers (68% consensus). With suspended coach Will Wade dominating the headlines this past week, No. 3 seed LSU managed to place all the distractions behind it and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a win over 14th-seed Yale. The Tigers, who are without their coach because of his role in an alleged cheating scandal, will play sixth-seeded Maryland in the East Region on Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla... http://bit.ly/2B27fSG

Things will need to sharpen up for the No. 3 LSU Tigers when they face the No. 6 Maryland Terrapins in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers were beating Yale by double digits in the first round, then allowed the Ivy League school to climb back into the game and needed a late rally to get the W. That type of lax effort could end up being their downfall vs the Terps, who have a huge frontcourt and one of the best defenses in the nation. The Tigers opened as 2.5-point favorites with a total of 147. Testudo Times: Maryland basketball drops NCAA Tournament heartbreaker to LSU, 69-67
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- March basketball is heart-pounding madness. And after a roller coaster of a game, Maryland's season is over.
The No. 6-seed Terps fell 69-67 to No. 3-seed LSU on Saturday afternoon. It was back-and-forth all the way down the stretch, and star point guard Tremont Waters broke Maryland's hearts with a driving layup just 1.6 seconds from overtime.
The Tigers frustrated the Terps throughout the first half, leading by as many as 15 as Maryland's offense started ice-cold. But after LSU got the margin back up to 15 early in the second half, Maryland made a charge, taking the lead with under six minutes to play.
