ESPN.com: James scores 25 as Lakers top Kings 101-86
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- LeBron James scored 25 points and recently signed Tyson Chandler had 12 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Sacramento Kings 101-86 Saturday night.
The Lakers, who began the season with three straight losses, moved to .500 (6-6) for the first time this season by holding the Kings, who entered the game averaging 118 points per contest, to their lowest scoring total of the season.
It was only the second time Sacramento has been held below 100 points this season, and it marked the first time Los Angeles had held an opponent below 100.
ESPN.com: Smoke from Camp Fire visible in arena ahead of Lakers-Kings game
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Smoke from a forest fire raging in Butte County, California -- known as The Camp Fire -- billowed into downtown Sacramento and was visible above the court at the Golden 1 Center before the Kings' game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday.
"We are aware that there is a smoke problem," a Kings spokesman told ESPN shortly before tipoff.
In order to combat the conditions, arena workers manning the entrances when ticket holders arrived were instructed to keep the doors closed as much as possible during the pregame window, the spokesman added.

Sactown Royalty: Kings vs. Lakers Fan Predictions
Below are a series of prediction questions for today's game. The first four questions will be asked every game, while the 5th will change each game.
Point value for predictions are listed next to the questions. Sactown Royalty: Kings vs. Lakers Preview: This One Matters
16 years removed from the last time these two franchises met in the post-season, the Sacramento Kings will play the Los Angeles Lakers tonight in smoky Sacramento. And a full decade-and-a-half removed from that legendary series, the question will inevitably come up again; are these two teams still rivals? And if we're honest--probably not? These two teams have different ceilings, different goals, and different expectations this season. One team is surging in the Western Conference playoff standings, led by an All-Time GOAT-caliber leader and a massive collection of emerging young talent. The other squad is a constant lottery loser struggling to find cohesiveness on the floor, and seems destined for another playoff-less season.
Silver Screen and Roll: Lakers vs. Kings Preview: Can the Lakers contain the Kings in transition?
It is no secret that defense has been an ongoing issue for the Lakers this season.
Even with the recent Tyson Chandler signing, the combination of the team's roster construction and their general tendency to miscommunicate have combined to create the 22nd-ranked defensive rating (111.9 points allowed per 100 possessions) in the league. Fortunately, not all is doom and gloom.
The Lakers have won three of their last four games, and actually have done a rather solid job defending in the half court.
On the season, the Lakers have the 13th-best half-court defense in the league, as they are allowing only 92.
Lakers Nation: Lakers Injury News: Lonzo Ball Turned Ankle In Practice, Status Uncertain For Kings Game
Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton said Lonzo Ball was unable to finish Friday's practice due to turning his ankle when landing on another player's foot during a scrimmage period. His availability for Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings is currently unclear.
The team sent ball to the training room for treatment and Walton had yet to follow up prior to speaking with media. "Hopefully it's nothing serious. We got him out at the end of practice and he went in for treatment," Walton said.
It would not come as a completely shock of Ball does not suit up.
Sacramento Bee: Kings to welcome 'one of the ambassadors' when LeBron James and the Lakers visit
The Kings are preparing to play host to the "King" for the first time this season.
When LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers visit Golden 1 Center on Saturday for the first time this season, it will be James' first game in Sacramento with a Western Conference club.
It will be a much different scene than his first regular-season NBA game, when an 18-year-old James and the Cleveland Cavaliers lost 106-92 to the Kings at Arco Arena on Oct. 29, 2003.
Now, teams led by James are 20-9 against the Kings, including a 9-5 record in Sacramento.
Official Site of the Lakers: 3 Things to Know: Lakers at Kings (11/10/18)
Here is what you need to know before the Lakers' visit to the California capital versus the Sacramento Kings.
1) The 20-Club was packed last game
In a wild matchup with Minnesota, the Lakers needed everybody on the floor to step up and deliver. Several answered the call, as four Lakers finished with 20-plus points.
LeBron James, per usual, was at the forefront of the attack, nearing a triple-double with 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
James hit three 3-pointers, while setting his teammates up for even more triples. In particular, he was effective as a distributor in transition.
