Fansided: Chicago Bulls: 3 takeaways from the close win over the Cavaliers
The Chicago Bulls (debuting their new "City" jerseys) came into the game against Cleveland with a 3-9 overall record and a 1-5 home record (including four straight home losses). Thanks to defense and a quality team effort, the Bulls would beat the Cavaliers 99-98 in a nailbiter.
The Bulls got off to an incredible start, scoring 37 points in the first quarter and holding the Cavs to a measly 23. Unfortunately, Chicago would end up taking their foot off the gas pedal in the second quarter, allowing Cleveland to come back and make it a close game.

Tonight the Chicago Bulls host the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first of four games scheduled between the two Central Division rivals. Chicago comes home having just split a brief, two-game road swing, with the first stop an exciting 116-115 double-overtime victory against the Knicks in New York, and the second a frustrating 107-98 loss to the Pelicans in New Orleans. The Cavs come to town owning the NBA's worst overall record, having recently lost four in a row and 10 of 11 overall to start the 2018-19 season.
Cleveland's last time out was at home against the OKC Thunder Wednesday evening.

CSN Chicago: Kelly Crull's practice notes: 3 thoughts on the Bulls before playing the Cavaliers
The Bulls returned home from a two-game road trip and practiced on Friday after a day off before hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. Here are my thoughts from practice...
1. What's the Temperature?
There may have been snow falling on the Advocate Health Center Thursday, but the "black clouds" appear to be in the distance, for now. Despite the Bulls' 3-9 record and what will likely be another month before the Lauri Markkanen, Bobby Portis and Kris Dunn reinforcements hit the floor, the "next men up" seem to be engaged and still buying in to the growing process.
