Charlotte has been playing better, is healthier, and is the overall better team. I'm not a big fan of their spot here, but with how well they have played at home and on the road, I feel I have to take free points here.
Oh sorry, Over was 223 at my book. I apologize this site is not always accurate or should I say up to date with the current Spreads The 225 is what it opened at and it got steamed down to 222.5 and then back up to 223 which is when I took it right at the right time, and right on pace for it at the half too if youve been watching. I got it for 225 on here so lets hope I underestimated them. Best of luck to you and my apologies
For some reason this over almost feels like a trap, but I'm gonna take the bait. Charlotte's last 5 games in Atlanta have went over, and I can't see this going any different. We know that Atlanta plays much better at home, 19-12-1 (61.3%) ATS. The fact that I think the Hornets cover the spread and even win this game, means that they will have to keep up with the Hawks. Atlanta has given up at least 117 points in their last seven games, and even though Charlotte is ranked 30th in PPG, I think they can put up over 110 points in this game. 224 is such a low number for an Atlanta Hawks home game, I'm locking this in.
I like the Hornets in this spot getting the points. Charlotte actually has a winning away ATS record vs the east at 10-9 and I will side with them here, they been covering machines in the last week or so and even doe the hawks are looking to break out of there losing slump I still think the value is with the Hornets. They also own a 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS record vs the hawks. All in all I think Hornets can keep this one close till the end and cover this spread. Hawks already beat the Hornets in Charlotte so there might be some payback in store will see. Goodluck!!!
A poor shooting night from Hawks star guard Trae Young left the team stranded on an island in Saturdays 118-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. It's hard to gauge this team on a game - to - game basis because it's success is completely contingent upon whether or not Trae is feeling it.
The Hawks are only averaging 100.3 points per game in their last three outings. On the defensive end of the floor, the Hawks have looked like a complete mess with a lot of new pieces and young players who don't mesh well yet - in good time. But not now.
That said, Charlotte is a bad team. The Hornets are 12-20 on the road this season taking on a Hawks team reeling after back-to-back road losses. Mondays game is an opportunity for them to put an end to a three-game losing streak. The Hornets didnt have an answer for the Hawks at home when Collins wasnt even on the floor.
